If Norris were to box and use mobility, he could theoretically win. That aside, I see Hamsho manhandling and stopping Norris.
Hamsho would stop terry far to strong, hamsho was a bit like arthur abraham he had the uncany strength. if not for hagler hamsho would of been champion
That's true of most fantasy fights involving Norris. The problem was, when Norris did try to use his mobility, he had a tendency to trip over his own feet. That's what cost him the Julian Jackson fight. Rarely have I seen a boxer with skills that were that good and who had footwork that was that bad. [ame]http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BC6ActjJrvQ[/ame]
people act like Terry's chin would shatter on impact. If that were the case, he wouldn't have turned pro much less, become the most successful ever superwelter champ. Hamsho could not hit Terry cleanly anyways; I just see a lot of mauling and cuffing going on (you woudlnt know what that is) He'll wear Terry out but he's not a big enough puncher and he's not accurate pin point like Hagler. Accept the word of one who knows
Agreed. Hamsho was a mauling, brawling, physically powerful block of granite, but he wasn't the kind of puncher to produce a stoppage against somebody the style and caliber of Norris. Attrition is where he excelled, and he was a little more like Antuofermo in that respect. I do think we'd see something of a mugging as the match wore on though, simply because that's how Mustafa operated. (Hamsho-Antuofermo would have been some filthy fun to watch.)
Revelation 1 - Plenty of pro's, and indeed successful ones had relative glass jaws sunshine. Revelation 2 - Hamsho, ugly as he was would indeed hit Terry cleanly thru effective mauling and use of superior strength and weight.
Agreed. There's no way Norris would get away from Hamsho and I don't think he could stop him either. Hamsho would win in an ugly fashion, though I could see a late stoppage over 15.
