Thought id match up Norris with another great fighter who wasnt known for his ko power.... I know Benvenuti had pretty decent power but he wasnt known for his punch.. How do you see this fight going at Junior Middleweight?

When Nino was ON he was amongst the greats. He needed to be motivated to be so though. He admitted that himself. And he can pull out a punch when he needed to, remember LMR. He also beat better fighters than Norris - Griffith and Rodriguez. I pick Nino by mid/late round stoppage while beeing slightly behind on the cards.

Nino catches Norris in the 6th and puts him to sleep. Nino had underrated power and Norris had a weak chin as his Achilles Heel.

True. But Nino was skilled too and would be hands full for anyone at 154 and 160 at his best. Even for Tommy Hearns, Mike McCallum or Hagler, Tiger and Co.

It isn't just a thing of power overcoming norris...Benvenuti was an overall better fighter IMO.

Nino makes it competitive but Terry takes it by UD.

Yey hed be competetive but all those guys beat him... Him and Mccallum would have been a real tight fight, but Mccallum after seeing Benvenuti could match him in a chess game, ithink the rougher Mccallum takes inside and wears him down, at Jm hed stop him late at MW close decison.

Hearns would beat him anywya he chose to either outboxing him or by Ko.. Benvenuti would hang but would end up getting dropped or hurt badly a couple times eventually Hearns finishes him,, I think Hearns is the worst style for him of all these guys. He would beat nino at whatever type of pace or style they decided to fight. Hearns tko 9

Style wise Nino could pose problems for Hagler... He was slick and techinichal enough,.. However Hagler would eventually find his rythym and creep back in the fight... Eventually he starts to walk him down.. Hagler tko 11.

Tiger already solved this one for us winning a competetive but clear decision... And he was 40 years old where as Nino was in or near his prime.

I dont necesarily buy that one.. Norris would sometimes get recless but thats also what made him explosive and dangerous. Not too many fighters outbox Norris when at his best and fighting disciplined.. IF he had a chin he would have been up their with the elite atgs.
