Wifred Benitez; youngest fighter to ever win a world title. In 1976 he handily decisioned Antonio (kid Pambele) Cervantes 15rd UD for the 140lb crown. Then he moved up and took the welterweight belt from the tough Carlos Palomino. Yep, Benitez was a true bum...

Anyone who thinks Leonard was even remotely close to his prime against Norris, has no clue of what to look for in a fighter. And the fact that you don`t even have an awareness of how amazing Wilfred Benitez was is unbelievable. You must be a relative of Norris. You are too funny, and your right. Laing beat an in shape, prime time Duran. Oh yeh, thats right. Duran was a overrated bum just like Benitez. You are talking about all-time greats. Fighters who made history, and who fought and beat the best. Lost some as well, but there they are in the boxing hall of fame. Amazing considering they didn`t have `Terrible` Terry Norris` talent...

I must admit, it took me a while but Ive suddenly realised that you are just doing this SRL thing for fun & ****ing with everybody.

The so so chin part convinced me but the last line - the Jackson part - cemented it.

Keep it up, its a laugh.

    :good

I understand the animosity that people have towards Norris. he destroyed the the idol of millions. I'm not a fan of Ray's so I dont feel their pain but whether or not you're a fan of Terry's, he was a great fighter and champion. You can't take that away from him. That's why Terry is in the hall of fame :smoke

Better than Ray leonard? Yes, much better. Whereas Ray would not defend his title, Terry set the bar higher, setting the record for defenses. so he was much more proven at the weight. Since Terry was the superior champion and easily beat Ray, you have to conclude Terry was superior in every way.

Also, I'd like to see your evidence Ray was hollowed out. You still havent given me any so that means you must be imagining it.

Now let's talk over facts, instead of fantasy

Fact: Ray was a five time champion

Ray recently dominated a world champion. DOMINATED

    unbeaten in 11 years

3-1 favorite to win by all the experts

so, how does this add up to a hollowed out fighter

not to mention, held a huge edge in experience. Terry was a recent knockout victim that came back to upset the odds. He convincingly defeated Mugabi, Leonard, Curry, Taylor, Brown, and a host of others.

Did you laugh at the results?

    Jackson KO 2 Norris

    leonard L12 Norris

as I said, ray was stictly a runner that really had no choice but to pick his opponents and only after allowing for several years of physical deterioration to set in. Put him in with someone who's young, who can score quickly and move out, it was shown that Terry had the perfect style to reduce Ray from an otherwise sweet fighter, to ordinary.

Could it be that I found an even bigger Norris fan than myself?

Surprisingly I agree with all of this.

And neither of us has anything to apologize for. I can never be accused for spinning or fabricating like the other side does. After all, I've got the results they only wish they could use.

I 'll admit Ray will always be #1 in the public eye. But I know superior skills when I see it and head to head Terry has the speed, the skills, that would drive Leonard up the wall. People here like to talk about what Ray would have done but if they had to put their money down on him, they'd switch sides w/o giving a second thought to it.

no one knows. that's why I dont do p4p lists. Too many people too many variables. between Norris and Camacho i would have them even becuz Terry got more fire in him but Hector has got more chin and fights as a lefty. That gives him an advantage over most opponents
