Since you won't do it, Robbi, there. I conceded Leonard's chance for the ko in my first post in this thread. That was before any of your responses to it, so you can't accuse me of changing my tune with any validity.

I also stated that I don't believe the fight would end in a stoppage, and I still don't. Norris had more power, and I feel he would land the heavier blows in a tight scoring affair.

This thread simply has me in awe. Its a shame, cause I really like Terry Norris, but he's being overrated as **** in this thread! I cant believe so many think he could beat the 81 Leonard.

**** lets just go ahead and say that Kostya Tszyu beats the 90 Chavez. Afterall, he beat him in 2000.

A prime Leonard was plain better than Norris, and knocks him out. That simple.

What about Terrible Terry`s dynamic punching power against Marevlous Marvin Hagler? Norris` frightening power against Haglers unproven chin. Hagler was vastly overrated having fought mostly bums. How would Hagker have fared against an all time great?????

Keith Mullings is always left of everyone`s P4P list, and he was the hardest hitting jr. middle ever...

Few boxers suffered a more abrupt demise than Terry Norris. It was almost like he lost all his abilities in a span of 6 months. When he fought Mullings it was as if an old man took over his body. Even Larry Merchant with his silly sayings said in that fight said "I used to know Terry Norris but this is not the Terry Norris I once knew." So in this instance using Mullings or Rosenblatt is about as fair as using Danny Williams and Kevin McBride against Tyson. And Norris is more often times underrated rather than overrated.

I mean other than a better chin, what clear cut physical or technical advantages would a 23 year old Leonard have going in against a 23 year old Norris?

Leonard had a better chin, faster hands, better legs. Norris hit harder. Leonard had a much better boxing brain. Anyone arguing otherwise ? 2 dq's in a row against Luis Santana. Going toe to toe with ancient Simon Brown after being damaged by a jab. If Leonard could go the course as an old man past his best, of course the prime time guy could also. Norris is a good fighter historically speaking. Leonard is a great. He beat Duran, Benitez and Hearns at their best. I can't believe some people rate Norris that highly. Great fun to watch but chinny as hell

    Yes

Thats arguable. Both guys had lightning fast hands.

Nope. Not better than Norris' legs.

Legs can be debatable, Norris had brilliant footwork I admit, but I'd give Ray a slight edge in legs.

Norris hit harder, but barely. Leonard's power is sooo underrated. His left hook was lethal. But Terry had slightly heavier hands.

Handspeed is Leonard though. Norris had extremely fast hands, but not like Leonard. Watch this clip of a young Leonard, and tell me Terry had faster hands:

The only 3 fighters in history who had faster hands than Ray Leonard are Camacho, Taylor, and Jones.
