One thing is for sure, Terry Norris seemigly went to hell overnight........ Once he started fartin' around with that bum---Luis Santana, Norris' career just kept heading into the night.... I last saw Norris fight on ESPN against Dana Rosenblatt.... Christ, Norris was faded bad..... Hell, he was only like 31 or 32 years old, as well...... Peace....

what about the ike quarteys, vernon forrest, DLHs, i never said he'd beat the McCallums Hearns etc his chin will obviously let him down in those fights i dont think the other guys such as those i mentioned would build enough pressure on him to land on his chin

Your a typical poster who is 'trying' so hard to convince people that he is clever .. Norris didnt face anybody of the calibre of Leonard so you have to talk about 'Motor Function' and 'Kinetics' to try and make your point, your trying to sound scientific because the actual stats dont back up your opinions, ive seen it so many times on here .. The facts state that Leonard beat a prime Benitez, a prime Hearns, Duran and Hagler, wereas Norris beat a 34 year old Leonard, Maurice Blocker and got wiped out against Julian Jackson and Simon Brown ........ Please tell me more about 'Motor Function' and 'Kinetics', you might convince me that Terry Norris was actually better than Sugar Ray Robinson

Norris was a pure beast at 154, very very underrated. Duran was past his best at 154 and could no longer chase down this type of mover. We saw what happened against the 2 boxer movers he faced in Benitez and HEarns. Hell if he could chase him down hes probably too small and gets too outsped to win the mid range exchanges, his power at 154 isn't too devastating by any means either

Your a moron. Do you understand anything about boxing or are you just a SRL hater. Do you actually believe that because Leonard had a brain for business he actually found an easy road to glory ?? This is a man that took on a prime Benitez, was part of 2 of the greatest fights in history (Duran 1 & Hearns 1), took Duran to school in New Orleans and then beat Marvin when nobody thought he could .. And your saying that it was all 'self promotion' and 'he got the exact right 2 all-time opponents in Duran and Hearns' .... Firstly you can do all the self Promotion you want but you still have to get in the ring and face hall of fame fighters and then you say 'Duran and Hearns were the perfect opponents', that is so stupid, if somebody is looking for an easy road to the title, Hearns and Duran arent the kind of people you want to face ....... Your an absolute moron, how are you comparing Terry Norris to Leonard, you obviously dont know anything about boxing if your putting Leonard's success down to 'self promotion' .... You hate Leonard and your trying to denigrate his success, but even if you hate Leonard, comparing him to Norris is a joke .... If you had compared Leonard to Whitaker or even Pryor i would have taken you serious, but Norris ??

Just a little less chin, WTF?

Where is Terry's 3 wins over ATG greats holding a title?

Norris is a guy who almost got KTFO by a JAB. He wouldn't be able to navigate the distance without getting suckered by Duran's right hand. I'll say Duran TKO 8.

can't see Roberto beating the guy who owned Leonard and the ground he walked on. let's face it people, Norris was to leonard what leonard was to Duran in that last fight and even more so. And I dont give a damn what someone says about the level of competition, chin, etc. Norris prevailed where the weak hearted benitez failed. Where Hearns was deficient in defense and offensive versatility, Norris filled in the gaps just like Iceveins mentioned, mastering Ray from both the outside and on the inside.

Superior chin of Leonard? As I recall, he took numerous trips to the canvas which makes it difficult for me to label Sugar's chin as anything more than slightly superior. THE PROOF of it came while I watched 27 year old Ray Leonard getting dumped by the much smaller, inferior Kevin Howard that took him a full nine rounds just to get a controversial tko followed by the wimpering cry of "It just wasn't there". Little crybaby!! :|

Hell, I never saw Ray in the ring with Jackson-he wouldnt dare! You know there's a reason he chose to forego defending that WBC middleweight title the judges gave him on April 6, 1987. Who wouldnt want that piece of meat they call Lalonde over the youth of the 154, 160 pound divisions.

he wouldnt dare enter the same ring with Nunn either out of fear he'd get the same treatment Kalambay recieved. Ray was at ringside doing commentary for Nunn-Kalambay. You know he was shaking like a leaf on a tree at the mere thought of facing him so he opted for flabby past his prime Duran. Then in his next outing he got the same treatment Duran got, only worse!

Duran is a mere shell of the true fighter he was meant to be. He's just too short to be cut out for 154 and would be toast if facing the athletic perfection of Terry Norris.

ray leonard would be flattered after the beating he took from Terry. That's more compliment than he deserves

Your parents must be cousins. Because you can't understand 12th grade words like motor function and kinetics, does not mean I am trying to sound smart. The comparison was between physical abilities you fool and that was what I am compared. I didnt say he was better than Leonard you ****in idiot. Go back and read what I wrote, and if the words I used don't fry your brain again maybe you can comprehend the point that was being made.
