Just ordered his career set based on a couple of his fight I've seen. Great style to watch and could really bang when he sat on his punches. I recognise plenty of his opponents but I hear evreyone most were past there best and at a weight too high. Is this true? What do you think his best wins are?

    Thanks

the win over ray leonard, yes ray was 34 years old, but he was 36-1-1 and a five weight champ. norris was a virtual unknown, but he dominated that fight.
he said he never wanted to fight ray, but leonard came after him, big mistake.

Yep. Ive never seen it so I can't but its a shame if Leonard had something left as peoplee give Norris no credit for that win. If Ray showed he had something left then Terry should get a little credit surely.

i thought terry norris was a damn good fighter but he fought guys who were either over the hill, shot or who moved up from a lower weight class or moved down,
    john mugabi post hagler,
ray leonard moved down from 160 and came out of retirement
donald curry he was completly gone at this point
meldric taylor- a guy who was pretty ****ed up fighting 2 weight catogaries above his natural weight he never fought julio cesar vasquez who was recognised as the man to beat at 154 at the time, and he was brutally ko'd and pretty much embarassed by brown but saying that i still recognise him as a superb fighter and was a top 5 light middleweights of all time

Not really anybody at 154 today who could **** with a prime Terry.

He beats Martinez, and wipes his ass with Paul Williams.

Terrible Terry was a beast, a really skilled supreme boxer with a killer instinct. For me if you take Tommy Hearns out of the equation he's the best 154 pounder ever. He had it all. Speed, footwork, sharpness, very good technique, good power etc.

He was essantially a big welterweight, that's why he fought so many percieved smaller fighters then him. He was too big for welterweights and his weak chin kept him from wanting to face some of the great middleweights of his time. Getting knocked out by Julian Jackson told him to keep away from middleweights who could hurt him. He had a very strong mentality though, as he showed by coming back from that bad knockout and going on to become a HOFer. Mugabi was passed it but was still a big fighter with a huge punch, which was Norris' krptonite, so that's one of his best wins, particularly as it was after his Jackson experience.

His best fight was probabily against Simon Brown the second time. Norris fought the wrong fight in the first one. He was very arrogent and cocky at that stage in his career and no welter was gonna step him, so he thought but Simon Brown shocked him and KO'd him. Terry came back fought his fight and dominated Brown. This showed his mental strength, Brown was also a brillient fighter who was underrated IMO. Norris was brillient against the likes of Curry, Blocker as well. I just wish he'd faced someone like McCallum, that would've improved the way people think of him.

IMO a great fighter who's great to watch, because of his skills, killer instinct and vulnerability. Enjoy the career set. A very good investment. :good

He would also beat any welterweight that wanted to step up, including Mayweather.

And barring he gets caught with anything big, probably the majority of the best middleweights of the last few years.

:deal Terry was a badass and looked intimidating at times, but he was even more inconsistent than Duran ever was and didn't have a win over an ATG in their primes. Leonard and Mugabi would of beaten him in their primes.

The win over Ray was not that big a deal. Ray was weak at the weight and really was finished at that point.

I've got the Norris career set. You won't be dissapointed. You should think about getting the gerald mclellan set a few months down the line.

Never thought he would recover from that 'brutal right hand' 'One Punch Knock-out'
    from Julian Jackson.

Never thought he would beat, let alone Knock-out John 'The Beast' Mugabi.

Too bad he didn't come along 4 years earlier, and join Leonard, Benetiz, Hearns,
    Cuevas and Duran.

If you couldn't hurt Norris, you were doomed. He was exciting yet pretty technical for the most part. I'm a fan of Norris and hope you enjoy the set as much as I do mine.
