Camacho would have been too much for Marsh, too sharp and too quick. But Marsh was a tough bloke.

Let's not forget Marsh had a tendency to cut, it wouldn't be surprising to see him get cut to ribbons in that fight.

    Marsh was a devastating borker.

The skills of an undefeated IBO champion of today.

    Roman Greenburg or something.

I admired Marsh, but I recall being 100% certain Camacho would win.
With his total lack of any punch whatsoever, Terry was always going to have a ceiling, well below Camacho level.

But Marsh would have loved the big occasion, the purse etc...such a shame

Fair enough, levels below Camacho - but how about the others? Arredondo, Oliva, Látigo & Hamada?

Oliva didnt live up to his Val Barker recipient pedigree in the pros but was still very skilled and vastly more experienced than Marsh (having logged double his ring time when they overlapped as champs) - and Coggi was a deal more well-rounded than Marsh with substantially more dig. Neither had bad chins anyway, so Marsh's lack of power wouldn't have been much of a hindrance in these match-ups. I'd see either going the whole fifteen, with the outcome, as with Camacho, essentially coming down to levels. Perhaps for Marsh just a step too far in either case?

Hard not to figure he could've swiped the green belt, though, at least before Mamba got hold of it. :think

Sadly a lifetime in pro boxing, prison and gunning down enemies left Terry far too soft for the cut-throat world of politics.

Really though - he was never going to make it in politics - he was too much of a 'straight-shooter' for that game!!! :p

His party was called 'None of the above X' in protest that this box was not available for people to vote.
