anyone here ever see this in real life or film? graziano claims this was the dirtiest fight he ever saw.i would like to view it also.can anyone here tell me about the fight?
S,Graziano was WRONG. The dirtiest fight was the fight in which Rocky was in...On June 27,1944 I saw Rocky Graziano Fight his second cousin by the name of Frankie Terry in Dexter Park ,Queens, N.Y. They kicked each other in the groin, spit out their mouthpieces,and tried to bite each other,wrestled each other to the canvass and the referee fell on top of them.I, my dad and the fans went crazy...The amazing thing about that wild melee was no one was disqualified in that bout ! Boys will be boys after all ! I saw Terry Young {Rocky's East Side Friend] in my first pro card fighting the new sensation , the great Beau Jack in St Nick's Arena. Tough Terry they called him, and he was TUFF. Paddy DeMarco,I saw several times before he became lightweight champion. He was a poor man's version of Sammy Angott. He smothered you in close ,was very strong but couldn't punch hard. Sidenote= TerryYoung was shot and killed after he retired in a neighberhood club. He was the one who brought Rocky to Stillman's gym ,to meet Terry's trainer Whitey Bimstein, and the rest is history....
thats pretty wild graziano said basically the same thing about the demarco fight. he said they both spit out their mouthpieces and bit each othe while doing other fouls too.
