Tervel Venkov Pulev is a 6'2 34 year old Cruiserweight with a 1-0 1 KO record. 2012 London Olympics Bronze Medalist. He's currently fighting for AIBA. Born and fighting out of Sofia, Bulgaria. Tervel is less polished than his slightly older Brother Kubrat but in some ways if he turns pro I think he'll be the far more exciting of the two. He doesn't rely on the quasi Muay Thai pawing stance Kubrat takes in many of his matches and he's not quite as defensively minded either. But he has a good jab like his bro, he's a good inside fighter who likes to brawl a little more and tends to pour on more pressure than Kubrat. Boxing runs in The Pulev Brothers blood their father Venko was also a Boxer, Tervel started in boxing in 1994 in the CSKA club, he went on to win a ton of amateur matches as a youth until losing to The Beast Of Dagestan Beterbiev, he also has losses to Egor Mekhontsev and my man Usyk, there's no shame in losing to any of these three. Hopefully he'll turn pro sooner rather than later because he's getting pretty damn old. Very interesting. 32 is a very late start though to turn pro not sure if he will make an impact as a pro. Speaking ofPulev you seem well informed on the Eastern European scene. Any word on his return? I think his refusal to pay the sanctioning bodies their title dee will hurt him in moving up their ranks so he needs to get active to force their hand, if he wants another shot at glory.
Back in early December he said he wanted to return early this year and he had his sites set on either Chisora or Fury, but other than that no info.
Thanks for the info. Fury won't take that fight. Chisora might he needs to beat someone good if he wants back in the mix
He's a mental midget who has quit multiple times when losing a fight. World class but not elite lower half of the top 10 kind of guy.
Pretty bad when you're making your debut and would be a heavy favorite over an Ex-Champ who's fighting in the main event opposite your far more experienced older bro.
Tervel looked decent in his debut at Cruiserweight, although the guy he was fighting didn't exactly look confident or even make an attempt at winning the match. And seemed to be dropped by glancing blows. This content is protected
