Anyone get to see it? This is the start of a good fighter, one of many Eastern European fighters coming up the ladder..................Teslenko is 12 - 0 10 knockouts, this was his New York debut..................
Eh, slow that roll, Farmy. He knocked out 5'9" (he is listed as taller but you can plainly see he's at least a couple of inches shorter than 5'11" Jimmy Owensby when they square off in center ring, there's video up on YouTube) Keenan Hickman. Not like he reinvented the wheel here. We've yet to see him do anything to separate himself from the herd of HW prospects, really. Height and power don't automatically mean we should lose our **** and get too excited (paging Adrian Granat..) He also reportedly got smacked around in the amateurs, stopped in several of his two dozen or so losses. (and losing to all the best names he fought) He does move well for how tall he is, and can switch-hit, and works the body well for a super-heavy, and seems to have potent enough two-fisted power. The worry is his chin, however, and the fact that he still occasionally falls into these lullaby trances in the pros, admiring his own work - that's a toxic recipe. There are many good eastern-European heavyweights on the way up, but I think if you're looking for a Ukrainian giant to pin your hopes on, Vlad Sirenko is the one, not so much Teslenko.
He looks capable enough but I'm not overly interested in someone fighting the likes of Hickman in his 12th fight, yet.
I agree that Sirenko appears to be the best, at this time, he hits so hard you can hear his punches land, thud! Very powerful. Teslenko has skills, would like to see him fight better competition, of course he could fight Dustin Nichols, or Sconiers and become famous like Wilder! LOL!
Sirenko facing better competition than Teslenko? both are young (for heavyweights) and have plenty of time to develop. Simon Keane looks above both at the moment.
