Tete, one of the Bantam favorites behind Monster Inoue, demands random drug testing during the tournament. Tete, who faces Ayolan in the first round, fears some will reach for the naughty bottle to gain an advantage. I believe there was random testing in the first installment, but I could be mistaken.
Testing is virtually random already. If I'm correct, from the moment a fight is on, testing is also on. Once you win a QF match, you are automatically entitled to a semifinal opponent, and then do the final one. That essentially makes testing random, or extremely close to it. The only way you could try to beat that testing is the very same way you'd try for random Olympic-style testing (in other words, very difficult thing to do). I don't know why would Tete bring up such thing since he, and everybody else in the tournament, are about to get tested more than ever before in their careers.
