I doubt he's improved that much to now deal with basically the same fighter, only larger and harder hitting. :think
That's what I'm thinking, most of Farmer's opposition has been fairly weak D level guys whereas Redkach's has been fairly solid B and C level, and one A that he couldn't deal with.
I hope Redkach puts his foot on the gas this time, since this is a 10 round fight, just like the draw he had recently. He had very late knockdowns on Cruz, whom was absolutely done. No doubt that one would have been stopped if it was scheduled but 12. This fight I believe is also a 10 rounder, so he needs to step it up, sooner.
Supposedly Redkach missed weight, coming in at 135.2, and that was naked. Fights still on, guess Farmer's getting more money though. Watching the Pedraza/Farmer fight as we speak, and man, Farmer is absolutely gassed by round 4 and simply can't effectively neutralize aggression. He doesn't slip punches very well, he lays on the ropes, doesn't have much of a clinch game, isn't strong enough to impose his will and put a guy on the back foot. Just seems like a talented in-gym kind of fighter, level wise. Competent but not elite with anything, probably a great sparring. But in a real fight, he just seems to wear down quickly, can't take it.
Farmer is looking very good, I don't think he can be elite. I haven't seen Redkach fight before but I'm going with my boy Farmer.
Farmer sucked then. He didn't care for boxing, he was just doing it as a hobby and never got in decent fighting shape, nor did he focus on technique. It's like judging Mayweather for getting a cap busted in his ass by Spadafora.
Same here. The level of improvement that he's displayed even from the Gonzalez fight to Prescott is pretty impressive. Meanwhile, Redkach has regressed, and has always been susceptible to being outmanuevered and outworked.
he said he took that fight on like a weeks notice so who knows, pedraza turned out to be pretty good too.
Pedraza >>>>>>>>>>>>>>> Redkach, not sure where people are seeing the latter as "the same fighter, just larger" :blood
Strange how it looked like Redkach was purposely missing most of his heavy punches....even the announcers commented on "he didn't use to loop his punches like that before". Kinda reminded me of the strange misses by Liston in Clay vs Liston I.
