    :lol: At the end of the first round Farmer landed a solid left hand and it was literally the only in ring action the HBO commentators mentioned.
    It was like trivia night for them. HBO's team sucks.

    Fair, but the notion of it being a robbery is just BS. It was a close fight with neither guy taking control. Farmer was missing badly and Ogawa would not let his hands go.

    Farmer's trainer was using profane language in the corner in between rounds and as far as I'm concerned that should incur an immediate point deduction. You'd never see such uncouth behaviour from Japanese cornermen it's only ill-bread potty-mouthed Americans and Brits who engage in this kind of uncivilized behavior.

    In Japanese boxing coverage it is considered rude to discuss the fight in anything but the most allegorical terms. Inter round summaries are delivered by way of haiku. The post fight interview consists of several very carefully judged bows and the only commentary that the pundits on the panel that night delivered on the Farmer fight was in the form of a poem about a hawk soaring on the wind as the sun set behind Mount Fuji. Apparently this equated to a points win for Ogawa.

    lol Yeah I remember reading something not that long ago about them imposing a really harsh punishment on a fighter or his team for an offence that you wouldn't even get a slap on the wrist for in most countries. lol gotta love the Japanese, though.

    Japanese Ward doesn't even make it past his first 3 fights lol

    I think Ward gets too much slack but i kinda agree. Did you see Wad-Rodriguez? It was a really good fight which the ref saved.
    If it was under the JBC, they would both have been DQd.

    Interesting details on the drug test results and his submissions

    I watched it live drunk and didnt score it, I just went with HBO the night of and then I saw backlash by a few posters and said well **** it I'll see what I think

    I had it 115-113 Farmer so pretty ****ing close compared to what HBO was "seeing"

    I grew up on HBO boxing and am biased to them as opposed to SHO but they can be down right terrible. Say what you want about Larry Merchant but at least he didnt kiss the house fighters ass.

    Lampley over quoting the stats, **** you are ringside! Could you describe to me what you see rather than studying the monitor

    Kellerman does he have to say pound for pound so much, so overused. That and his always trying to make historical comparisons even when there really arent. No one cares especially the casuals that this sport is in need of to keep it going. Stop trying to sound more versed than you are

    They can be down right awful, I mean when 2 house fighters go at it or its like a boxing afterdark card where neither guy is an established HBO guy they are better

    The worst was Pacquiao vs Bradley 1, so many called missed shots from Pacquiao and crickets when Bradley did anything.

    The slip when Ali fell vs Cotto and Lampley yelled hard right hand by Cotto! I spit out my god damn beer

    I didnt think the Ward vs Rodriguez fight was any good but Jack Reiss pulled them together and told them to knock off the bull**** and it became something resembling boxing

    Kenichi hopped on a airplane full of PEDs and bribe money and bought a win but loss the title and got his wig split.
    Tevin Farmer is the future.
