If Cooper was in shape he could win as he was much more talented .. other than that Cobb wears him down ..

 

I think Cooper would pound on Tex for a few rounds, then gas. Cobb by decision.

Its an even fight mid rounds, with Cobb coming on late and nearly finishing the exhausted Cooper. Cooper wins a SD because of the early points lead,and the public demands a rematch as Cooper looks wilted and bloody at the end with a surging Cobb nearly finishing Bert at the bell.

 

I see prime Cobb wearing him down he was big and strong and just crowded and pursued all night and Cooper was not much of a stick and move guy he doesn't win a fight of attrition in the phone booth fights Cobb excelled in.

Ballooned his face up. And since Mercer was a pretty good boxer, I'd favor Bert (slightly)
Mercer won because he had to box, whereas I'm not sure if Cooper would try or just brawl. Tex wouldn't get stopped is the only thing I can say for certain.
