nope...if politics would've been a reason, then whoever coughed up the cash would've done it in cali or neveda, not texas..........:happy:happy:happy:happy:happy:happy:happy

Not talking about payoffs. Politics in terms of a decision being good for re-election (to gain votes). It can't be proven without a doubt, but you have to be blind to think that the "Governor" wouldn't have politics in mind. I'm not the only saying this. "Nevada probably wanted this fight but with politics in the way we'll never know. Texas Governor Rick Perry didn't want Margarito on the undercard of the March 13th card but some say he realizes the state needs the tax revenue it could provide so he now wants Margarito against the hometown Filipino Pacquiao in the main event."
No doubt and with PAC and Marg....they always bring war to the ring. Its a great styles match up and I hope Marg is the OLD Marg! Not the one who looks to go 12 rounds like in his last fight. This has Fight of the year honors written all over it!
ohhh man, i thought i would never care for this fight but god damn i'm happy now....it's gonna be a ****en war for the ages
I watched Pac-Clottey in a bar, same place i'll watch this ****. I've been done lining Bob Arum's pockets long ago. Based on Texas criteria, this was inevitable. Personally, it generates zero excitement in me. Margarito hasn't done **** in over 2 years. Not the kind of fight a P4P #1 should be trying to make. I expect Pac to win without any real drama.
I don't doubt it's possible politics were involved. But we'll never really know I guess. Just glad this fight is most likley on. SHould be a good one!
