Marquez is a very reasonable choice, but I feel Hopkins should be the definitive choice from this decade. The man only showed you the top of his head, great footwork off the line, chin and hands in proper position at all times.

Marquez is not too good at fighting while coming forward, especially when forced to lead.

He ends up overextending his punches, falling in etc..

Not that he's a bad pick, just not someone i would put among the best ever.

Maruqez also struggles for proper head movement and struggles to get off the line when he's in the pocket.

What's your opinion on Azumah Nelson, Mcgrain?.

He's an odd one technically.Sometimes he could be precise and technically sound, then in other fights he was sloppy as hell, relying more on his physical advantages and power.

I generally lie with the second school of thought you mention concerning Nelson, I think he is a spot overated techncially. When he's punching well he neglects defence, when he is defending well whilst under pressure he arm punches. I'm generalising, of course, but there you are.

    What do you think?

azumah nelson aka professor is a good technical fighter but not one of the greats..when u watch his fights with fenech he throws all h is consistent boxing out of the door...to be a great or the greatest technical or textbook fighter you have to do it consistently..ricardo lopez is easily one of the best of all time..
