Nahhhhh, I'm not a big one for weights. A great fighter is a great fighter, at any weight (barring something ridiculous) as the man in my avatar showed, and as Pacquiao has shown. The fact Hatton can't fight for **** above his "ideal weight" shows he ain't great!
Yeah, but you will all have to accept that me (and probably Betty) are boxing oracles if we are proven correct.
Great welter, lost in his only fight at middle. Therefore a **** fighter like Hatton? And no, I don't think Hatton is up there with Napoles but if you dominate a division for a number of years then thats good enough for me.
It is good enough in itself, if your resume is great at that weight. I don't rule people out just because they fought in one division, infact I'm an advocate of clearing out your own weight before cherrypicking guys in the next, a la Mayweather By the way, Napoles was a half decent 140lb fighter before doing damage at welterweight. And it was fecking Monzon at middleweight
He was shite against Collazo too and lucky to get it. I doubt a true great like Napoles would be going life and death against a Collazo because he put on a few lbs. I know you are going to say "he got the W" or something to that end, but performance matters too
yea hatton was poor agaisnt collazo, but for me i thought he was brilliant against zoo and thats when i really became a fan, since that fight, he hasnt really performed
