    Round 7

O'Sullivan is sauntering after Görbics, keeping his arms low and flinging jabs up into the gob from down by his left knee, chasing his man all over the ring with no particular sense of urgency. Görbics able to avoid the power with turns and pivots until the final minute when Spike twice in a row connects on a big left hook & right hand combos leaving Görbics flailing on the ropes. O'Sullivan not even respecting Görbics enough to plant his left foot and turn over the hook properly, just heavily slung arm punches, slappy.

    10-9 O'Sullivan

    70-63 O'Sullivan

    Spike was 12/1 to get a TKO/KO.

Gaelic's hell of a language. First time I've ever heard it, nothing like Welsh like I was expecting.

Judging from the bout order, I’m pretty sure they expected one too. They only have a little over an hour of TV time left and three bouts left to show (two not including the swing bout)

    Round 8

O'Sullivan continues struggling to locate the jab. Görbics dancing around, swerving and dipping his entire upper body to one side when he needs to, always keeping his guard up responsibly. O'Sullivan getting a piece now and then with a short uppercut behind the jab when Görbics is passing a corner. Not much of any offense from Görbics - he came to survive and has done what he set out to.

    10-9 O'Sullivan

    80-72 O'Sullivan

    Frankly awful performance by Spike.

Single judge (or possibly ref) scores it 80-72 to Spike.

Spike interviewed, undaunted by & unashamed of how tonight went, grateful to Görbics for giving him rounds to shake off ring-rust. He says he wants to reinvent himself at 154lbs; his aim is to get ranked there by capturing a minor title by March and then wants a big money fight with either Dennis Hogan or Jaime Munguia by September.

Did you see him shaking his head at his own missed big hooks. Looked like he was punching through water.

He alluded to not training much at the interview.

Antonio "Maximus" Horvatić of Croatia boasts a baker's dozen stoppage losses. In other words, if you let him go four long you're no sort of prospect. :sisi1

Rabei clearing the hurdle despite coming in with a 5-0 (1) mark. Three knockdowns in the first, two in a row off body shots and then one a quick left hook, after initially stunning Horvatić with a sharp jab on the nose.

    KO1!
