Thai CH7: Seansuree Moonsuree vs. Tatsuya Fukuhara II RBR

...man, poor Tatsuya looks so done with all of this.

 

This one appears to be about 10-15 seconds behind the one I posted above (tv-online.in)

 

The champion and challenger are being re-introduced by the ring emcee.

24 minutes into the broadcast, and they've been standing in the ring flexing and stretching their legs to keep the blood flowing this whole time..

 

Oh and now anthems, naturally.

 

Well, the last fight with Fukuhara was his "Castillo I" moment, and I'm sure the Japanese challenger will be looking to make this as rough, dirty, and non-boring as possible. Moonsuree to keep that zero that has raised his profile (by dint of mere coincidence having "passed" Floyd, albeit versus much lesser competition) needs to dot his i's and cross his t's, and not get dragged into a brawl...

Seansuree Moonsuree vs. Tatsuya Fukuhara II, 12 rounds @ minumumweight

 

Round 1

Fukuhara is coming out headstrong, bashing Moonsuree with right hooks upside the head repeatedly, scoring just behind the left ear. Moonsuree tucks his nose between his thumbs and tents his wrists over his chin protectively, allowing Fukuhara to clap him on the side of the skull at will, and cutting in close to plug him with lead rights on the body that don't leave any central targets open. Fukuhara is floating a right jab and moving to & fro, swaying out of reach of Moonsuree's jabs and ducking directly beneath a slow feel-out left hook. Moonsuree taking most of the first couple of minutes to get warmed up and lather into a rhythm, while Fukuhara came in ready to play straight away. Fukuhara is darting in, scoring with jabs and light-touch spearing lefts on the belt line.

Ch7 highlights of course show just one grazing Moonsuree combination, and nothing putting the visitor in a positive light. Okay.

 

Round 2

Moonsuree appears to catch Fukuhara with a nice counter right coming in, but also eats a heavy left dropped into place across his nape like an iron gate bar. Fukuhara is spamming the right hook coming forward, just flapping it like a chicken's wing, over & over. Moonsuree is anchoring himself, pivoting halfway outside, drawing back the right hand and letting it slingshot in with counters on the brow. Fukuhara is cut by a headbutt as they clash together both firing. Nasty little bit of business that, leaking quite a fair bit. The referee seems keen to stop the contest, and escorts Fukuhara to an edge of the apron. Time in, thank goodness. A little under a minute on the clock. They have some ferocious exchanges, but Fukuhara seems a tad unnerved by the cut, tentative now, waiting a half-beat too long to step inside and commit with his shots, and Moonsuree is taking advantage, sniping him with a 1-2 repeatedly between his eyes.
