Thai CH7: Seansuree Moonsuree vs. Tatsuya Fukuhara II RBR

Fukuhara is the definition of "pretty good, definitely not great" but at straw that is sometimes all you need to become champ.

 

Round 6

Moonsuree is ducking & covering as Fukuhara drowns him in body shots, throwing paint-rollers up & down his sides while leaning his taller frame inside. Fukuhara is able to slap & poke his way inside, grabbing Moonsuree and muscling him into the ropes until the referee calls for a break, having the physician check that cut above Fukuhara's left eyebrow. Smacks of corruption, with the ref knowing per WBC Open Scoring that Moonsuree is up and would thus get a TD if they go to scorecards, bailing him out now as Fukuhara is building momentum... Thankfully doc says go ahead, time in. Fukuhara is desperately plugging away downstairs with a left and slapping right hooks against the head. Moonsuree flurrying, backing up, forced to exchange, uncomfortable.

No way the judges are going to credit Fukuhara's body work in that round. He might not have landed a single clean head punch, and Moonsuree did get in a few eye-catching ones..

Round 7

Moonsuree is popping Fukuhara with short uppercuts below the jaw as Fukuhara crowds in on him, looming over him while taking wide swings at his sides with fat wrecking balls. Moonsuree is caught up in clinches and rag-dolled for a time until Bruce McTavish instructs them both to let go. Fukuhara seems affected by these disruptions, always taking a few seconds to reorient himself as Moonsuree darts in and out landing pot shot jabs and sizing him up for another counter uppercut as he comes barging in.
