    Are you French ?

Well the vision of boxing was very popular specially in the end of 80's and 90´s with Sot Chitalada, Muangchai Kittikasem, Khaosai and Khaokor Galaxy, Samart Payakaroon, Kongtoranee Payakaroon...

And after it was finished during a lot of time but in 2006 the hype is back because Srisaket Sor Rungvisai is the champion of WBC Super Flyweight and also we had the big promoter who was active before to be arrested for corruption Kokiet Panichyarom who had a lot of good boxers in the past who was very popular some of them are still active today : Phai Pharob, Wicha Phulaikhao, Phissanu Chimsunthom, Wittawas Basapean, Karoon Jarupianlerd, Sod Kokietgym, Terdsak Kokietgym, Somsak Sithchatchawal, Petchchorhae Kokietgym, Phanuwit Chinpe, Thotsaphol Thongplew, Sodsai Phankamkerd etc... and even some japaneses boxers like Riku Kano, Rika Matsumoto, Tomoyuki Nishikawa , Futa Akizuki... and also the founder of the women boxing in Thailand with some females boxers who was very popular : Kanittha Kokietgym, Saowaluk Nareepangsri, Myna Ketsana etc...

With the fall for corruption of the famous promoter Kokiet in 2016 who had some regional big champions and 9-10 world challengers in Boxing. This was the beggin of the fall of interest for boxing in Thailand. (no big promoter, no world championship again even if they will have during that time the two good worlds champions in Strawweight : Knockout CP Freshmart and Wanheng Meenayothin).

In 2018 this was over definetely and because of the hype of Muay Thai specially the One Championship who signed the most big stars of the sport not only in Thailand but in the world and RWS World Series was hyped too because it's the return of some good champions in the light like Petchmorakot boxing become very secondary again. And also you can have more money with One for the fighter or for even the gambler. So in this period there was not young prospect in Thailand only some old boxers who was still there. And the peoples who watching boxing at this period in Thailand was just peoples who have nostalgia.

But after and during the crisis of COVID (2020 or 2021 exactly) the Thais are now more interested by boxing maybe because of nostalgia and certainly the reason is because of the massive tourism from Western Nations who are back and influences them.

Of course they will still prefer the One Championship but they will also watch boxing and there is more boxing Gyms now in Thailand like : Eagle Boxing Gym in Pattaya, Eminentair Boxing Gym at Bangkok, Singmanassak Gym in Pathum Thani, Meenayothin Gym in Bangkok, Sor Erkwin Gym in Bangkok, Oleydong Gym in Phuket, Saithong Boxing Gym in Bangkok, Thai Payak Boxing Gym in Bangkok etc...

Most of them are in touristical places but there is many boxing gyms actually in Thailand not like Muay Thai / Kickboxing of courses but there is easily 40 gyms in Thailand now where you can also trains in boxing.

And since covid you have many promotions that they have boxers who can also fights for the channel on the tv or the internet in Thailand like : TL Boxing Promotions, True4u, Tan Telecom Boxing Promotions, Thai Payak Boxing Promotions, the Singmanassak events, etc...

In the past in the 90's for example you have only two promoters for Boxing and only 2-3 gyms where you can train for Boxing.

Now we have currently in Boxing maybe 7-8 promoters for Boxing who are really active.

Good stoppage in third round ! Victory by TKO 3 for Rujakran Juntrong.

I don't know if it's only the referee who want the stoppage or Wanheng Meenayothin (Chayaphon Moonsri) on the corner of Ayumu Miyakami who said to stop the fight.

The young Japanese Ayumu Miyakami was courageous but he is too little for to be a Super Lightweight ! He maybe need to good back in Lightweight or even in Super Featherweight will be far more realist for him.

We should make a Thai Boxing Thread that kinda follows the thai scene a bit more in focus. I will see if one is already made.

Thanks again for posting these updates. Rujakran looks pretty decent.
