Round 10

Niyomtrong is jabbing low and rolling his upper body at mid-range. Buitrago is doubling his jab at the face and bringing around the right hand in corkscrew fashion. Niyomtrong ducks. Niyomtrong is winding his way in through Buitrago's combinations (increasingly more wide double uppercuts than 1-2s) and smacking him with the left hook. Lots of tying up as both rest.

Now we see if Buitrago has been holding some reserves to push for a knockout in the championship rounds...

 

Round 11

Niyomtrong is pecking at Buitrago's guard with the jab and forcefully plugging the right hand in toward his abdomen to force him back a step. Buitrago looks to establish his own jab coming forward but can't gain any traction as Niyomtrong moves constantly and keeps dropping a level, then resurfacing in Buitrago's grill with kneading combos, or locking him up in a high wrestler's hold. Buitrago's offense being aborted every time he gets any ideas, Niyomtrong just nullifying him with awkwardness but not landing too much of note himself.

Round 12

Niyomtrong is waltzing in and out, brushing the jab on Buitrago's face. 1-2-3 by Buitrago, getting bolder and taking risks as he senses Niyomtrong tiring. Niyomtrong is shoring up his energy, fighting in bursts. Niyomtrong runs counterclockwise around Buitrago, then moves in and clinches. A couple of body jabs by Niyomtrong. SOLID uppercut by Buitrago, jacks Niyomtrong's head back. Buitrago very aggressive now, jabbing hard and swinging wide hooks, missing the latter.
