I should've recognized Noknoi, having just seen him a month ago on the Moonsuree vs. Galero undercard.

He does have a distinctive look. He's only 28 but looks double that (56, which is his # of bouts - most of them victorious, with his unbeaten streak officially hitting the decade mark on Monday)

Noknoi has beaten Mabao twice by UD, in 2009 and 2010. Both were defenses of the WBC Youth title which Noknoi then held.

He is really pushing his luck with his streak. Last time he was given a very hard time by an 0-7 stiff.

Considering that Mabao is still a respected journeyman and is very familiar with Noknoi (both of their previous meetings were unanimous but close decisions) this is a dangerous assignment...though Noknoi seems in control so far.

Mabao has been looking shot recently in fairness. Gave Hara a tough bout with a 5lb weight advantage but was then out pointed by Galero, battered by Nawaphon and beaten by Palangpol.

They're just showing this piecemeal, actually, on tape-delay. (commercial breaks longer than 1 minute being the dead giveaway)

There are only 24 minutes left in the scheduled broadcast. If they end up showing this at the expense of Chanachai...

I wish there was a Thai translator on here, because once again the commentator has been saying the N word he whole broadcast.

Noknoi did work pretty hard for that one, I'll give him that. He attacked Mabao relentlessly throughout and even kept moving both hands in the clinch with body shoeshines.

He needs to consider packing up shop pretty soon, though.

Bernard Hopkins actually is twice his age yet looks to have more left.

On the undercard, Boonsom Iamsiri (best remembered running Koki Kameda extremely close in 2013) became just the 2nd person to ever knock out tough Pinoy journeyman Mateo Handig.

The first KO loss of Handig's career was just a few months ago, indicating that maybe he is just coming undone, but it came at the hands of Nawaphon Kaikanha whose power seems very legit (also knocking out Wilber Andogan, Donny Mabao, & Michael Landero - all guys that rarely ever get halted)
