A lot of really skilled and talented Filipino fighters in the lower weights don't come out with an undefeated record because these divisions are really deep and competitive, lots of world-class fighters. I think Landero is really skilled and world-class but he could easily fight anybody in this list and lose in his next fight

    My Top 5 Filipino Minimumweights

    1. Mark Anthony Barriga; Barriga schools anybody in the domestic scene in 105 and 108. Too good.
    2. Rey Loreto; Fights against Canoy, Landero, and Saludar are pick em fights but I'll put him here due to his experience and resume. Also the hardest puncher here out of the five.
    3. Joey Canoy; Has two wins against legit guys in Landero and Jerusalem. Had a competitive retirement loss to Hekkie Budler. He has a good punch, was able to wear down and stop Landero in their fight. And he was able to make Jerusalem look like a fool at times in their fight, counterpunching effectively and was able to score a knockdown off a counter right hook.
    4. Toto Landero; Has improved so much since his lost to Canoy. Took Niyomtrong the distance and you could argue he won the fight. Good movement and fundamentals. Skilled. I'd love to see a rematch against Canoy. Niyomtrong didn't really push Landero in their fight until the 7th. I want to see how Landero handles Canoy's pressure from their fight this time around.
    5. Vic Saludar; Saludar is really skilled when he's on. World class. I haven't seen the loss against Landero but that was really close apparently. I think Saludar could beat anybody domestically in this weight class aside from Barriga. He was schooling Tanaka until that body shot.

Other notable names that could make some noise:
    - Melvin Jerusalem: Has two losses against Moonsri and Canoy. I thought he beat Moonsri 114-113 and was very impressed with him from that fight. Was able to use his size and reach effectively, along with his power to frustrate Moonsri throughout. If it wasn't for that BS point deduction for a low blow, he would have earned a draw on the official cards. But he followed that up with a loss to Canoy but Canoy is legit
    - Pedro Taduran: Just dismantled world-ranked Jerry Tomogdan who's a decent step-up as Tomogdan took Canoy's 0. He's a bull in there and has a lot of power. Now world-ranked by several organizations.
    - Samuel Salva and Robert Paradero: Two undefeated guys. Not a lot of footage on them but Paradero is the WBO mandatory and Salva is a huge puncher.

I really though Toto was gonna get stopped after the 9th and like you said he showed heart, but i was a little annoyed that Freshmart didn't press Landero after the 9th, with him deciding to play safe.

Freshmart seems to have problems with that. The guy looks incredible in flashes but often times he waits to much and/or plays it a bit too safe. That and his stamina are a bit suspect. I think if he picked his shots a bit better he'd have gotten the stoppage.

Barriga I'm going to check out soon after finishing up with Freshmart. Some of those fights unfortunately appear to be lost(Landero/Canoy) but you never know... Some of these have a weird way of popping up when you least expect them to. Will watch all the matches you mentioned that I can find. Thanks for the informative post!

The WBA mandated Freshmart to rematch Byron Rojas a few months ago, maybe we will see this fight before Knockout fights Zhong in China.

That was an ugly fight with a lot of wrestling and clinching. Have no interest in seeing it again tbh.

And he hasn't done much except beating nicaraguan level fighters.

Looking at the guy on the undercard with 45-0 makes you think about how those thai fighters certainly know how to rack up a lot of fights even if there seems to be a ton of mismatches on there records

In Petch Sor Chitpatanna's rate, he may break JSC Sr's 89 and 0 record.

Chitpatanna will probably get a crack at the now vacant WBC bantamweight title.
