there seem to be fewer good fights lately and few fighters willing to take risks. we need more fighters like vic. he only wants to fight the best and wants to entertain the fans. he knows what we the fans want and tries to deliver it.

if only more fighters had the same philosophy as vic.

Darchinyan would have won his last fight if he had boxed. He would win a rematch.

    Maybe, maybe not.

He has solid boxing fundamentals, but he throws them out the window. He learned from the Donaire loss, started to box again, but then as he kept winning he went back into his bad habits.

He doesn't have the right mindset to stick with the right gameplan.

But I agree that it's nice to see a fighter who really means it when he says he wants to fight the best. There are no bull**** excuses about contracts or purses or strained vagina muscles (like David Haye). He gets in the ring and fights.

I think it would be best if fighters did not have to worry about their losses and we could have fights like football, basketball, etc., where a loss does not destroy a career. We would see a lot of exciting fights. Would like to see boxers fighting more often also.

i just watched darchinyan agbeko yesterday. you cannot argue darchinyan's heart on that fight, and it is safe to say that if he boxed more, it might have favored him against king kong.

“I can’t get enough of Mexican fighters,“ said Darchinyan, who comes from Armenia but fights out of Australia. “They bounce real good off the canvas when I hit them. Let‘s see, I‘ve stopped Mijares, Victor Burgos and Luis Maldonado over the past two years. Unlike Arce, those three fighters were very tough hombres. Defeating Arce won’t take much training. It won’t even be a fight for me. More like pest control.”

“If Arce thinks he has a snowball’s chance in hell of beating me, then he’s a bigger sucker than those lollipops he chews on.”

“Arce is going to be my human piñata,“ he said. “It will be like a Chihuahua going against a bull. A raging bull.”

    - vic

not to mention he's a world class trash talker. -p4p #1 if you ask me.

Kirilov, Mijares and Arce I don't consider risk.IF he want's a risk do a penalosa take Lopez or a De leon higher up at 122 or heck even Vasquez

Agbeeko was the only real risk he took.Arce is past it, Mijares can't crack, Kiri and Gorres ah come on now!!.

Sometimes I think boxing "fans" don't deserve real fighters like Darchinyan, Pacquiao, Vazquez or Cotto. When they step up when other fighters don't and dare losing because they take fights they can actually lose, "exposed" and other BS is the typical reaction.

Vic Darchinyan might be the bravest warrior out there. He's just looking for the challenges and titles, not even money is an issue.

Do not thank anyone for Vic's arrogance please! He wasn't able to congratulate Donaire for his victory and wouldn't aknowledge that he was hurt and he didn't recognize that King Kong was the better man at bantamweight. Gary Shaw is a horrible man 2.

Plenty of people don't know what happenend and say they feel fine when Ko'd like Vic was against Donaire. He also humbly stated he was beaten fair and square by Agbeko. Against either of these opponents if he fought smart he could have achieved much better results, we know it, he knows it, he just obviously has more trouble focussing, it seemed he he had learned to do so after the Donaire loss and before that he got lazy because he really had not taken any major punishment and didn't see the point in boxing, he was winning with big KOs and getting plenty of attention.
