The 70's was a great era no doubt. Tyson had no competition in the 80's and I sure do miss the great 1990's where 45 year old George Foreman was Champ until age 48 now that was a great era!

Watch for Jonothon Banks he might win back the HW title for USA someday :good

People in a European stadium have nothing to do with television sets in America. HBO wants to make money just like any other company. They can't keep selling crap and expecting fans to watch it. The heavyweight division is dead and no one in America is interested in it now. By airing crap like this you'd just be hurting the sport even more. There are good fights with real fighters that deserve our attention, so everyone (including HBO) should be supporting them.

The Red Sox also get good t.v. ratings and that's something Wlad can only dream of.

Wlad boxed a technically solid heavyweight in Chambers, he knew how decent Eddie can be and when he did what he was supposed to by his corner he got Eddie out of there, I actually enjoyed the fight, Eddie was game and could have so easily done a Brock or a Austin early but hung in there .. at 209 he was small but showed a 240 pound heart.. The Ko was a sneaky left hook he was always dangerous with , and at least Chambers tried to use angles rather than just stand out in front of a Big man like that.. Eddie had never been Ko'd before and it must have been a shock to his system.... God bless..

How many heavyweights have you seen throw 1200 punches in a fight?

Chambers is a good Heavyweight, Wlad was just better on the night. Simple as that. No point insulting the man for winning and pulling facts out your ass, Swann.

So an American contender for the HW Championship can't generate interest in America? It would if he had a chance to win. A brutal KO in the final seconds of the 12th rnd would have been headline news in the USA if the American had won. The Heavyweight division is dead? Maybe in Brooklyn but not the rest of the world.

Must be tough being a Red Sox fan. Two WS Championships in 100 years geez :patsch

Yes, exactly. Stop televising boxing! We don't want everyone to see the sport! We can't allow the cancer to spread!
