Yes Judah has mixed with the very best and has always been found wanting e.g. Cotto, PBF, Baldomir and Tyzu He beat the lad from Bradford who trains in Sheffield however he was not the best as shown by Tim Bradley.

Crazy comment IMHO Olu. I'm no particular fan of Zab Judah, but his record shows wins over Mickey Ward, Witter, Terronn Millett, Reggie Green, Spinks etc... Three of the guys he has lost to (Cotto, PFB, Tszyu) were probably p4p top 5 at the time. I hope Ajose does well for himself, but this doesn't detract from the fact that so far he has not beaten a world top 30 fighter. He is in no position to be compared to somebody like Judah at the present time.

I think you will find that Nuubembee, Pryce and Kpadenue have all been ranked in the top 30 of various organisations at a particular time so was Holgate not sure whether Wright has.

All we need is the opportunity. You saw what Desert Storm Bradley did to the lad from Brdaford who trains in Sheffield.

They may have been top 30, but probably only just!

Check Boxrec or IBO for more accurate ratings my friend!

I'm not interested in "various organisations" i.e. sanctioning bodies who will rank anyone whose promoter pays them enough money. I'm interested in fighters who are genuinely among the top 30 guys in the world and who were at the time of the fight. And none of the above come even close to qualifying IMO.

What is all this "lad from Sheffield who trains in Bradford" lark? Is Witter held in such contempt that his very name has become equivalent to saying a four letter word?

Calling him a the lad from Bradford who trains in Sheffield is hardly a swear word or abuse is it. After all he is from Bradford and he does train in Sheffield with the Ingle mob. If Ajose was such a bad fighter then Witter, Lynes and the other rascals could have eliminated him instead of running away. I like Witter but he has his weaknesses which Desert Storm Bradley exposed. As for Cynthia Lynes she got beaten by a shot fighter in Branco yesterday. I have always said anyone truely physical would do for her.

No, I meant is he so bad that you won't even mention his name (i.e. it's like a swear word). Nobody's said Ajose is a bad fighter, but Witter and the other champions simply had bigger fish to fry, i.e. contenders who had earned their shot which he hasn't. To be honest, I think Ajose should consider relocating to the States or something. Besides Hatton and Witter, there isn't much depth to the division over here and Ajose lacks the big name marketability to entice top overseas fighters to the U.K. Over there, he would stand a much better chance of being able to make some waves.

Now Witter does not hold a title he has nothing to offer anyone quite frankly. Witter is now 34 years old and I don't see Hatton fighting him now. As for us maybe we should make him sweat since he no longer has a title after all he has made us wait for years since he was commonwealth champion.

I don't know what fights you have been watching seeing Ajose struggle in 6 rounders. Ajose can also turn fights around something Witter cannot do.

Olusegun has struggled in little six and eight round affairs against mumbo jumbo opponents.

To suggest he is ready for a title shot is simply laughable.

He needs to conquer the domestic scene first, before going in with gatekeepers.

He is probably equal fourth with Gavin Rees in the 140lb rankings domestically - I think everyone knows the top three!

Sorry to me Lynes is a Punk. As you know I respect all fighters unfortunately respect is not a courtesy that can be extended to Lynes. I can name many guys domestically other than Hatton, Ajose and Witter that are better than Lynes. Barnes, Daws and Wright are better. A sincere Ted Bami is better than Lynes as is John Fewkes. There is a good reason why Ajose is rated highly in the WBC rankings and Cynthia Lynes is not. He only has himself to blame for losing the European title and yes I don't feel sorry for him he got what he deserved. When things were not going well for Ajose against Wright basically due to lack of preparation having been on holiday in Nigeria nad not training and a fight got scheduled he did not feel sorry for himself but did something about it by changing tactics gritting his teeth and getting the win. Wright had trained for 9 weeks, Ajose got only 2 weeks notice. That is how a real man fights.
