What are some bouts that were discussed but never happened and you are happy they didn't? 1st thing that comes to my mind is Cotto vs Gatti. That **** would've been worse than Ivan Drago vs Apollo Creed!

I was really scared for his life when it was just mentioned. I also hope Holyfield never gets in the ring with Wlad!

Ruiz vs Byrd, that couldn't possibly be a good fight.

Winky Wright vs Hopkins, (Thank GOD that match never happened!) that phrase you would of thought would come to mind! Who didn't see that coming that was going to be one painfully bad, **** fight. But people were even dumb enough to order it on PPV, which is astonishing.

Well Toney fans should be thanking god he came to his senses and bitched down to Wlad.

I agree about the Gatti vs Cotto fight.

Leave Apollo alone! LOL! It's only fictional but, prime Apollo would KO Drago inside 12 rounds. Remember Creed's 35th title defense against the big Russian champion while Balboa was breaking thumbs and legs doing Gazzo's work? Yeah, that big Russian fighter got his ass knocked out by Apollo in the 9th round. Drago? Puhhhhleeeese, spare me the cheese. I don't know if I can ever forgive Stallone for killing off Apollo in part IV.

Forgive me for rambling, all in good fun! Seriously, I'm glad that Foreman never fought Tyson. Even though Big George was a different fighter in his second career (more disciplined, better jab), I think Tyson would have seriously hurt him. I disagree with those who conclude that Foreman/Frazier II in Uniondale is an illustration of what would have happened if Tyson and Foreman ever fought. First of all, Foreman never fought the very best Joe Frazier, and if it were a prime vs prime match, say Frazier 1969 vs George Foreman 1973, I think Frazier has a very good chance of taking Foreman out in the later rounds. Foreman was a significantly slower fighter in his second career and people don't realize how much faster he was in his first career. In fact, Foreman I believe was at his very best against Frazier because he was the only fighter Foreman ever admitted to being scared of. Mike Tyson from 1986 - 1990 would have done some serious damage to Foreman had they fought. Remember, Michael Moorer, although awkward as a southpaw was no Mike Tyson.

Yeah boy! Tito's nuts have never been in question. He has some watermelons down there. Roy would've killed him in December of 2001!

lol Tito sure has cojones, but he sure was lucky that that fight didn't happen back in 01...

But Cotto vs Gatti would have taken the cake...Gatti who is a serious bleeder and Cotto who is notorious for rearranging faces, not only that but Gatti's style falls directly into the hands of Cotto's style. It would have been something totally ugly.
