Muhammad Ali v John L Gardner 1981. There was serious talk of this fight coming off,but it fell through. Going by Muhammad's competitive go against Trevor Berbick,he'd probably still have had enough left to beat Gardner,but would have looked terrible in doing it. A win could have propelled him into a fight with an opponent who was better than Berbick. What do you reckon ?
