    WBA orders Chagaev-Valuev II!
The WBA World Championships Committee has ordered negotiations to commence between the camps of WBA heavyweight champion Ruslan Chagaev and mandatory challenger Nicolay Valuev. Universum Box-Promotion, promoter of Chagaev, had requested a special permit for Chagaev to box in an optional defense against Luan Krasniqui in Germany on April 26, however the committee denied that petition and called for an immediate 30 day negotiation period for Chagaev-Valuev. If no agreement is reached between Universum and Sauerland Event (promoter of Valuev) by April 3rd, or if either camp expresses unwillingness to negotiate, an immediate purse bid will be called. Chagaev won the WBA title with a unanimous decison over the seven-foot Valuev in April 2007. Valuev dominated Sergei Liakovich on February 16th to become Chagaev's mandatory

Nothing like upgrading from pathetic to just simply bad. Apparently , Krasniqui didn't make a payoff to the WBA for his title shot, so the obviously much more compliant circus freak gets another chance at the small time. I wish the Human Growth Homone Machine would knock out the pudgy Russian , and rid at least one mediocrity from the heavyweight division. At least Valuev fights everybody and fights often.I'd be interested to see what Wlad would do against someone with more reach than him, and someone who isn't afraid to fight back.

Would much rather see the WBA allow Chagaev vs Klitschko.

What would be wrong with Krasniqui-Changev?

Chagaev - Klitschko would be like watching the last unification "superfight" all over again

Chubby little counterpuncher against giant jabbing machine

**** that, I'd rather see something different. Povetkin or Peter come to fight. Valuev gives Wlad something he ain't used to

Krasniqi lost his last fight by TKO to Tony Thompson if I'm not mistaken & generally speaking the WBA's status would be **** if they allowed a fighter a shot at their belt coming off a devastating loss.

I want to see the titles unified, then we will just see top contenders fighting top contenders, and the top guys fighting THE Champion.

So, let Klitschko eat up Chagaev, and then let Valuev challenge Klitschko.

The WBC is going to be held up with mandatories for over a year.

    I'll give you this.

    I'd take Chagaev-Golota over Chagaev/Krasniqi any day.

And given the fact Valuev-Chagaev was rather boring, wouldn't you go a step further?

    Chagaev-Golota instead of Chagaev-Valuev?

Yep. I'd take that in a minute as well.

Valuev=boring, but he did earn his shot via the Lyakhovich eliminator.

But as far as who I'd rather sit down and watch, gotta go with ole Andrew here.

Say what you want about the crazy guy or his track record in big fights.

He is the most entertaining heavyweight in the division today.

    We're in agreement!

    :cheers

Incidentally, I thought Valuev did enough to earn a draw in his first bout with Chagaev, and I will not be the least bit surprised to see him reverse the outcome of their previous encounter.

    Golota-Valuev, anyone?
