Thank you Floyd for giving the fans what they want. Shane can't beat you unless...

I can't believe some of the Floyd fans on this forum are kissing his ass because he has decided to do the right thing. He is incapable of fighting effectively at any other weight besides 147 at the current time. He should have been fighting the best at 147lbs 4 years ago. The man should not be praised for something he should do. This is what we as boxing fans expect from our champions. It's about freakin time, Floyd.

How PAc fans came to the conclusion that Floyd had no choice but to fight Shane is truly comical. It helps you sleep at night lol...

It's common knowledge that both parties are to blame for a failed negotiation...or at least it should be. That's not what I'm referring to. Quite honestly, I can't believe that so many are still discussing that failed negotiation.

I'm not referring to just one fight...i'm referring to the last 4 years of his career. He should be trying to clean out the division. He shouldn't be praised for that. That is what we expect of all fighters. To be the best, you have to beat the best, and Floyd just hasn't done that at 147 or even at 140.

Floyd doesn't have to clean out every division he fights in, he started at 130. He cleaned out 130 when Freitas or Casamayor didn't want to fight Floyd for some reason. As Floyd's star power grew, he fought for all lineal titles in the divisions he fought in, and no Tommy Hearns ever emerged at ww since they were all beating each other... You refer to his comp at ww as if he fought there his entire career. He fought the fights that mattered. He fought Dlh at 154. What did Floyd do wrong in the failed negotiations with PAc tell me.... He asked PAc to take a blood test, and Pac agreed when he didn't have to, only to back out. Tell us what Floyd did wrong...

Who else is there to fight at 147? Margarito, Cotto, Collazo, Paul Williams, Clottey? If he's complaining about the amount of money he would receive fighting Mosley, i can't see him taking a fight with anyone else.

Can't see him fighting at 140 or 154...so, the consensus is that he should fight Mosley if the Pac fight can't be made.

    What's comical about that?

Dean, when they shite on Floyd, the get all bent out of shape when I shite on PAc. They can dish it out, but they can't take it. I always give my real opinion on fights, but before those fights, i just even the score with the bandwagon fans of the sport. There are 5000 fighters fighting today, and I try to learn about-all 5000 lol, not just ONE because he is part of my race!

I'm sorry, again it's common knowledge that both parties are responsible for a failed negotiation, if that is the true intent of both parties involved.

Both parties are to blame for screwing this fight...wait, I thought this had already been established weeks ago, no?

BTW, what was off base about my last post? It's true, who else would Floyd even consider fighting at this point. He's a prima donna. I could never see him fighting tough guys like Clottey or Paul Williams at this point in his career. Too much risk for the reward.

So no answer about how Floyd was responsible for the PAc fight not being made...ok. Risk/reward, who made that catch phrase up lol...!!!??? When you are used to making big money, and you've cleaned out the division that you started at, and rise up in weight, why fight those fights when you can fight in big fights, and make big money. This is what the special guys in our sport do...take on the second best in that division, above or below. Answering the publics demand is what the top fighters do... If Floyd/Shane is made, das wassup lol...
