    Oscar was, and remains one of my favorite fighters and one of the greats of this generation. I agree with everyone who says he should have one more fight, a gimme, and go out on a high note. We should all be glad for everything he has done for boxing, and I know that I personally will still enjoy rewatching his classics; few things put me in a better mood than watching him beat the snot out of Fernando Vargas.

    ODLH is a very class fighter though. He put Pacquiao in the US national spotlight and passed the boxing torch to him basically.

    Honestly, there really is nothing to hate about him unless you are really jilted.

    Boxing would not as as exciting without oscar!

    He made boxing move up another level.

    Oscar has been the only fighter to get mainstream press coverage and got everyone talking about boxing.

    We no longer have a mainstream superstar to carry the sport.

    Oscar De La Hoya will be missed.
