    What's with all this negative backlash from established writers like Kim, Fat Dan and Rosenthal (or whatever his name is from Ring TV)?

    This is a fight fans fight and we should be grateful that HBO forced it.

    Fat Dan is throwing a hissy fit because they didn't follow his advice to have Martinez fight Lee, same with Rosenthal who labeled this fight in his "WORST" section (WTF!, this from the same guy who helped promote Hopkins-Jones II). I doubt if these guys have even seen Dzinziruk fight, so much for being prominent boxing writers when message board fans watch more fights then them.

    I know!! Writers my ass if they don't recognize this to be a great match up.
    Anyway we can email them telling them to STFU and do their homework before considerig putting Lee in above Dzinziruk.
    I too find it ridiculous that lot of fans on message boards know way more then they do. At least they recognize good fighters when they see them.

    No, Baldomir was lineal champ. They gave Gatti a shot against Baldomir.

    I think Dzinziruk is an excellent fighter. He is technically sound and has a great jab. I think he gives anyone problems at light Middleweight. Id actually favor him against almost everyone in that division. 160 though is hard to say, though I still think he would be effective and have sucess.

    Regardless of Baldomirs linear championship Gatti was the super star and reason why this fight was on HBO.
    Baldomir didnt' make a lot of dough on Sho vs. Judah so him fighting Gatti brought his his payday.

    And yeah if it wasn't for HBO hoping Gatti finds a way to beat Baldomir, Carlos would prolly not be on HBO.

    He says that he is dissapointed with his inactivity and would like to fight 2-3 times a year, also was surprised with ealy ko of Williams, he thought Williams would win. Expects from Martinez to be more agressive than usual, says Martinez has unorthodox style and really not that fast, doesn't have amateur background. Says he is very happy, this is fight of his life and he was waiting for this oportunity for 10 years.
