For sticking to your usual complacent counter-punching style even during the 8th rounds when Pac was apparently just a sitting target, waiting to be taken out. You could have TKOed him right there and then have you had half the killer instinct that Pac has.

As a result, Pac was able to recover and make the fight very competitive and even won in the eyes of amy people including 2 of the jduges.

I tell you one thing though. Had the knockdown in the 3rd round happened 1 minute earlier, Pac would have finished you ala 10th round Morales II style - on the ropes. :good

Pac-haters tend to see things through rose-colored glasses just as much as Pac-lovers do.

Ironic that you write this, given the fact that Pac has had Marquez down four times and has never finished him. :think

    :yep

If truth be told, the only time that Pac had JMM hurt bad enough to go for a KO throughout those 4 knockdowns was in that 3rd round.

.....and the miraculous part of JMM surviving that 3rd round was that he did without so much as a clinch!

The KDs in the first fight didn't really seriously hurt JMM.

The one that knocked him down in the 3rd round of the 2nd fight DID out him in ***** street. He was hanging on the ropes by the bell. He even followed Pac to his corner.

This doesn't really adress my point. You stated that if Marquez had "half the killer instinct that Pac does"... he would have finished Pac. Yet your fail to mention that Pac has had Marquez hurt and hasn't finished him either.

I have an idea for you: Maybe both are just great fighters and hard to finish, and neither should be disrepected or have their killer instinct questioned. Your post has an overall tone of disrespect and condesention towards Marquez.

To be honest, I know you are a better poster than this, I have seen your posts on other fighters and you know the sport too well to be putting things like this up.

Anyways, work tommorow, good night and peace to all.

There was a big time difference. Pac hurt JMM almost at the end of the round. JMM on the other hurt Pac almost at the opening bell.

You know, I just revisted that 3rd round kd for the first time since saturday, and although JMM was hurt, he was'nt as hurt as I initially thought on saturday.
Marquez went down and got up from the knockdown almost immediately, and although Marquez legs buckled again by a Pacquiao punch, Marquez was still strong on his feet to finish the round.

A clear 10-8 round for Pacquiao, but damn, the way JMM stays in focus with his target in the face of getting hurt and Pac going for it is just amazing!
