On behalf of Jamie Pittman, I'd just like to thank those who have sent messages of support to Jamie. Unfortunate as the loss to Felix Sturm was, Jamie will be back better than ever and now knows for sure that he can compete with the 'big boys'. Jamie's eye is on them mend and it won't be long before he is back in action. Head clashes between southpaws and orthodox fighters are always going to happen but it was a bad way for his first shot at a world title to go but Jamie showed enormous courage to battle on against the champion despite vision in only one eye for almost 3 rounds - a lesser fight would have called 'time gentlemen' but this isn't Jamie's go and boxing fans in Australia should be proud of his efforts. Jamie "Mr Business" Pittman will ride again - this you can count on. Thanks again for your support.
Good luck to him, he did well and the experience is sure to help him for the future. Look forward to seeing him fight again.
every fighter that tests himself deserves our support, and pittman is no exception, he might of come out short, but in the long run i think this was the best thing to happen, he knows what he needs to fix and where he goes from here is all up to his motivation... kegsy said it right he will come back a much stronger individual.
Pittman showed good heart. We all know he will be back bigger and better. Cant wait to see him fight again.
i believe that Jamie will learn more from this 1 lose then all his wins. and he will one day be a world chamion. no shame in getting beat by Sturm.
Jamie should give up his dreams of a world title. he just doesn't have the skill. i hope he can pick up a few more Australian and regional titles, maybe a commonwealth title, before he retires.
And you wonder why your called a Aussie hater. Someone from Pittmans camp is good enough to posts on here thanking the public for support, and you give your negative thoughts on his future. Pittman has all the skills and heart to go all the way. Ill be updating my sig...read it you ***** Barge.
Hes a troll. The only reason he comes on here is to try and get a reaction from everyone by constantly talking ****. Hes probably a 50 year old man still living at home with mummy.
**** off barge.back to thread topic hope jamie takes a lot away from the experience and comes back better for it.
