No date yet, but the fight in Light Flyweight division is signed by both part for the beggin of the year 2024. So we have the thai "KO artist" Thanongsak Simsri 32 victories (30 KO) and 1 lose, he is ranked #4 by the WBO in light flyweight division. (His only lose is against Masamichi Yabuki the former WBC world champion of light flyweight division). His opponent is a filipino boxer "The Silent Assassin" Miel Fajardo 11 victories (10KO) and 1 lose and 2 draws. (His only lose is against Ar Andales a another filipino boxer who is on the top list in Mini flyweight division and former contender). On a paper it's a good fight.
I appreciate your enthusiasm but Simsri is a mirage. The man has 32 wins, 30 by knockout. The problem is that his 32 victims had a combined 54 wins when he fought them. 21 of his opponents had no wins at all. Fajardo will stop him inside six rounds.
I completely agree, he inflates his victories like many Thai boxers, if not all. But it must also be said that he lasted 7 rounds with Masamichi Yabuki giving a good fight knowing that Yabuki is among the best in the category.
Miel Fajardo will defend his OPBF belt in this match : http://philboxing.com/news/story-168889.html#google_vignette
I agree any fight is different and anything can happen.Fajardo knocking out opponents but there’s levels. This is a step up for both.Power wise both have it.It will come down to game plan and IQ.Which one lands the kabosh first i suppose. Not sure.
One thing is certain, whether it's Fajardo or Thanongsak, the winner of the fight will win by KO. It's sure.
Sometimes Thai fighters on that tomato can diet can surprise though. We shall see if he's better than his record would suggest.
Does look pretty terrible in the footage available though.... so that devils advocate scenario I posted above is not a likely one.
In any case, he's punchy enough to be high up in the rankings. Plus the fight will surely be on the internet Miel Fajardo has a lot of fans, it's very hard to find Thanongsak Simsri "Black Wolf or KO Artist" fights.
Miel Fajardo is ranked #12 by the WBO and #6 by IBF and #3 by IBO. I forgot to say that Thanongsak Simsri is also ranked by IBO at #13
