An Old Max Schmeling KO'd a Young Joe Louis.

Most people fail to mention how over the hill Schemling was in his first fight with Louis.

I approve of this thread. In the history of boxing blacks have cracked more heads, of every race, than most, This thread is actually that African American was hit hard, considering.

Yeah, but not everyone of African descent would be labeled as African.

Not really. African and African descent are different. African means you are a resident of an African nation. African descent means that your family heritage is traced back to Africa. I once dated an Arabic girl who was born in Egypt. She's African, but she's not of African descent. There are plenty of Euros and Indians who have migrated to Africa as well. They are not of African descent. On the flip side, most African-Americans are of African descent but are not African. The terms aren't mutually exclusive, but they mean two different things.

You cant really argue these things as facts, since they are so subjective....

Being as objective as possible, anyone who is born in africa, or has ancestors from africa is of african descent and african.....we arent talking about race here, since africa is not made of 1 race....

but we wont get anywhere in this discussion, since its based on opinions and not facts
