Vitali's not the prettiest thing in the ring to watch, but could someone please explain what the hell Gomez was doing with his hands??? Cause I ain't never...I mean NEVER seen punches thrown so horribly.

My wife could throw a better left hand than that bum.

    AND I MEAN

gomez normally can throw much better punches than he did in this fight, but really, i think like most cruiserweights find out, they can't handle real heavyweight power. gomez was a great cruiser but look how hard vitali hit him. vitali reduced gomez to hesitant slaps and flurries because he took gomez's confidence away. :deal

I said weeks ago here. Getting fat doesn't make you a heavyweight fighter

I don't know about that...in the 1st round when Gomez was still confident, I said to myself this fool can even throw a decent power punch, his left hand.

    He wasn't fat.

6'-3.5" & 230 lbs. is a nice sized & fit HW. The guy just can't throw a proper punch. Incredible.

Plus, he's got 35 KO's on his record. How the hell do you KO someone throwing **** like that???

well my reasoning is the fact he has sparred vitali many times so know how hard he hits. and two, vitali as a lot of opponents say afterwards is a lot harder to hit flush than it looks. and also when you respect someones power you tend to think more rather than let it be natural. gomez a defense fighter with not great heavyweight power was screwed from the start.

that's probably why gomez went for the visual flurries because he probably knew from the get go he wasn't going to hurt vitali.

but yeah, gomez could have come in about 10-15 pounds lighter for sure. but that would have just prolonged the beating. it might have gone to a UD for vitali if gomez was fitter but i doubt it with the way gomez was reacting to some of the flush shots taken.

I expected much more from Gomez.

What the hell was that? slaping and staying still against Vitali? was he thinking he would KO Vitali with a single good punch? Awfull strategy, awfull display from Gomez, he didn't do much better than Peter.

Looked like he was happy to get the payday and that's all. He didn't even try it properly and I know Vitali is very tough and hard fighter.

i thought at first that it'd go the distance, especially after the first 3 rounds, after that point though,it was all downhill for JCG.he was basically running on borrowed time by the 5th round.

VK just simply wore em down with his size, defensive tactics, and the booming ironfist righthand.

another Klitscho fight that stinks the joint out, what a surprise. The sooner Haye sparks these chumps the better, i'm beginning to think he will despite his weaqk chin.
