In about 2 years, this is going to be a big time fight at 154...

Both will be in there primes, in there mid 20's, both beating all other 154s

Who would u favor? Who has the brighter future?

I would rather see Thurman vs Broner. That could be a great (and makeable) fight.

I'd pick Canelo as of NOW, but I wouldn't make him a lock. Thurman can crack, and Canelo's defense is leaky. However, Thurman was given trouble by Chaves, and Canelo is a lot more talented than Chaves, so as of now the edge still goes to Canelo. But Thurman winning wouldn't be out of the question.

Oh and yeah, I wouldn't be so sure about either one of these guys beating all 154 pounders in a few years. Both of them have flaws that a skilled technician can expose. Neither one is anything special.

Both are in their primes now.

Canelito isn't some killer that will beat everybody at 154.
Look how much better Cotto did against Floyd.:hi:

    Hell...

Carlos Baldomir put up a better fight than Alvarez.

Alvarez will be lucky to be around 2 years from now.GBP will have to be VERY careful matching him in the future.

Chaves holds the middle of the ring better than Canelo.

I don't really see much talent from Alvarez.
Robert Guerrero did better against Mayweather than he did.

Canelito doesn't know how to protect his body...at all...for that reason alone I'd favor Thurman.

I don't see all those flaws in Thurman's game you seem to have imagined.
