    As a life long boxing fan and former fighter, I honestly wasn't
    impressed with any of the fights last night but for one. The Ross
    pearson vs edson barabos fight. those guys showed more skill, poise,
    conditioning and heart then any fighter in the cage last night. If i had've
    sat down last night with a bunch of MMA fans for the 1st time ever
    last night and not none the players, i'd of thought that WAS the main event. THOSE guys looked like the elite level fighters, the rest, including
    silva looked like they'd not last a round against even a B level prizefighter.
    And the forrest guy? WTF was that? Did they pull him from the audience?

    I agree, I thought Ross Pearson was amazing, definitely best British fighter we have, really like him as a person as well.

    Can I suggest you might have picked up on the phenomenon of the lighter weights looking more exciting because they can dare to throw leather far more often because they don't have quite so much fear of getting knocked out.

    At the higher weight MMA can look horribly tentative and then wildly random as one punch ends a fight.

    Blah blah blah MMA isn't boxing blah blah. Like we don't ****in know that. Throw Floyd Mayweather in there with Barboza or Pearson and he gets his ass kicked alot worse than any boxer vs MMA fighter in a boxing match.

    The reality is that mma remains very much a joke sport with both a serious glass epidemic, and an appalling understanding of even the basics of the sweet science.

    mma is lucky to have such a group of blindly devoted hero worshipping fanboy deniers for fans. I mean, look at the absolute cans who tards such as Anarchy99 believe have "phenomenal hands". Bleak stuff.
