You could have a point, I really do think Manny right now desurves the FOTD award, but Im pretty sure that if Floyd whoops him bad, people will discredit many of Pacquiaos wins, and think that Floyd probably had the better resume. They will look at both Marquez fights as losses, (I believe they were) and De la Hoya dehydrated, Cotto at 145, Hatton was shot, and Clottey was a punching bag.

If Pac is on PED's, why should Floyd get credit for beating a fighter whose reputation is built on cheating and thriving off of weak opponents?

I don't deny Roach's eye for opponents, but you can't have both; you can't say Pac's resume is ****/can't fight without steroids, and then say a Floyd win over Pac deserves worship.

If Floyd didn't do this crying drama, he could have won last decade's best fighter award.

why is floyd and his die-hard fans so insecure of pac winning these awards? ok floyd, fight the smaller and lesser skilled-pac and stop being such a ***** with all of these demands.

A Pac win would probably be the best win of Floyds whole career, because even if he is on PED´s or taking on weaker opponents he still is great.

why would pac be discredited of his past wins? :huh

going by your stupid logic, does that mean mosley's past wins which included dlh(2x), margarito, mayorga, vargas(2x) among other must also be discredited because he lost bad to floyd? :patsch

you're not making sense here dude..

Floyd could have won that award if he faced better opposition, didnt take time off for 2 years and was more dominant.

Its hard to give someone an award when he was facing Ndu, Corley, Brussels, Mitchel at the time when Pac was facing Barrera, Morales, Marquez.

Its hard to give someone an award when he took 2 years off during which Pac fought Barrera, Marquez, Diaz, DLH, Hatton

Its hard to give someone an award when they barely beat DLH on points, with DLH afterwards giving interviews after the fight without a scratch and with a smile telling everyone that he thought he deserved the win and loves boxing, when you compare it to a total domination by Pac who made him quit, cry and looking like this

Its hard to give someone an award when they struggled with Hatton for 6 rounds with the help of the referee, when Pac dominates him, knockes him down twice in the first and out motionless for the count of 200

jacory harris is so dumb. its a different decade. if pac loses twice to malignaggi by ko this decade it doesnt take away the fact that in the 00s he was the best fighter.

jacory by u making a thread like this is gonna make u look quite stupid if pacquiao wins (and i believe he has a fair chance). my guess is you will never come back to ESB if your boyfriend floyd loses.

Its not the same, because Floyd has a great resume too, and if he beats the **** out of Manny, people will start doubting Pac´s resume. And they will start doubting why Pac got FOTD when losing to Morales and twice to Marquez. The same is if Floyd loses, people will discredit many of his wins, and say that he only fought bums. Thats how the game goes, the loser will be a big loser this time, not only in the fight but much more than that. So in this fight they have everything to win and everything to lose at the same time, because both are pretty much in their primes, unlike Mosley who had everything to win and nothing to lose.

when did he lose twice to marquez????? or is that just your opinion?????? they were 2 close, brilliant to watch fights and its a credit to marquez that he got so close to beating pac. remember also pac beat a prime, in his natural weight class marquez.
i scored mayweather as losing to castillo and dlh. does that mean i can post everywhere that mayweather has two losses???:huh

Most people saw Marquez beating Pacquiao in the second fight, many people thought Pac lost both fights (I thought he did lose both). You can post whatever you want, but as I said, if Mayweather loses the fight big he will not get any credit of his wins, and then suddenly talking about DLH and Castillo beating him wouldnt be that bad in peoples eyes. The same goes for Pacquiao (if he loses big to Mayweather), because he did at least lose 1 of the 2 Marquez fights, where in both fights he got outboxed, and in both fights the knockdowns made the difference. Its not as the Castillo vs Mayweather fight, where Castillo lost like the first 5 rounds, or DLH who didnt do **** in the championship rounds, the Marquez fights are much closer than that.

they were very close and i even scored the second fight in favour of marquez. lets not pretend that marquez wasnt a quality force in that weight division though. knockdowns do make a difference in fights but thats what the sport is and those have been the rules since boxing began and marquez knows this.
