I respect that and i dont see anything wrong with what your saying i just think we have different perspectives. Youre seeing this about yourself (understandable) while im thinking of the people in my life and the world around me. Now if i didnt have family or kids i think id be more in line with your thinking because im well enough off on my own that i dont need 100mil. Even now i personally dont need it because im fortunate enough to be doing pretty well for myself but for me to do the things id like to do for family, friends and less fortunate it would take that type of money.
Perhaps fatherhood will soften my stance but in this stage of my life I can't see me changing my perspective on money. Anyway in relation to Floyd, in his shoes a super rich athlete who the sport has given everything to I certainly wouldn't undermine its standing with freak show events purely driven by financial gain.
It will. Fatherhood definitely softened me up. Anyone in FlIVds position would do the same. Make 100mil fighting novices? Who wouldnt take that deal? I criticize it in the sense that i have no interest in watching a sideshow and i feel it hurts the sport. Not in a financial sense because the more eyeballs watching boxing the better for the sport but it hurts the sport as it shows if you play your cards a certain way you can make lost of money with little risk. This is floyds legacy and you can see fighters trying to pull this same scheme.
Well I wouldn't and that decision would be a hell of a lot easier if I'd already made 100s of millions of dollars.
Highly doubt there is any truth to this but if it does happen Mayweather gets himself another easy payday,I would also be suprised if it draws over a million views,Khabib has never been a draw due to his boring style etc. His fight with Mcgregor only drew what it did because of how popular Mcgregor is and because of the bus incident and the PPVs for Mayweathers last few fights outside the Mcgregor and Pacquio fights had been 500k and below
I don't blame a guy for trying to make money. I'm not here talk about money though, I'm here to talk about what happens in the boxing ring. Sure, Mayweather has had the best managed boxing career ever. That doesn't make him the best boxer ever though. Forget about how much money he has made, forget about him being undefeated... because he shouldn't be. Now look at his resume. Yes, even if he was 49-1, 48-2, or whatever... he is still great, I'm not saying he wasn't a great fighter. He wasn't better than Sugar Ray Leonard or Thomas Hearns.
I ****ing hate Khabib and wish he and his extremist mates both religious and political would ****ing do one. You think Mayweather would of learned from the Rizin debacle but he probably hasn't.
Lol just posted this in the other thread, makes sense as to his cancellation of his fight in Japan. No brainier as Khabib has a massive following and despite being the worlds best at wrestling he ain’t gonna do anything in a boxing match.
absolutely shameless. and he floats these ideas cause he knows how much money there is in selling crap to all those who complain about too much crap in boxing.
Jesus, can't this attention seeking idiot just retire for good? Fight an MMA FIGHTER UNDER MMA RULES. Fight a BOXER UNDER BOXING RULES. Spence, Crawford, Thurman, Porter, GGG - fight one of those guys in a Boxing ring instead.
Well Dana is basically making Floyd back up his words! The little ***** has lip flapped about fighting MMA!! Well... come do so! That’s the only way he’ll fight Khabib. The ***** won’t do that though. He needs all his fights stacked in his favor.
