You know what I'm talking about? Floyd does it all the time: he'll lead with his straight right hand, and then swoop his head "under and back to the other side"? It just feels so right practicing it. . . Cause your body weight is focused to the left (if you're orthodox), and then it feels "balanced" to sweep your weight back to the right. . . It takes practice, but this is a very good move to master! It could also serve good use in a street fight. . . Lead with the right hand, keeping your head "down and to the left", and then pull it across and under your body after launching the straight right. . . Note: Hopkins also did it against Pascal quite a few times. . . Really wiped his nose with it!
Also, you can practice it with the lead left hook. . . Swoop your head and body "under, and across" back to the left after firing that left hook, causing your body weight to be focused on the right.
I know the one from the Ortiz fight. My friend was saying its kind of a shoulder roll. He was rolling against Mosley too. Is he right? That youtube vid called Mayweather top ten tricks shows what I mean.
Good little trick to use against dummies like Tree. Cotto will probably have it figured out early on though.
I don't box, but is not the same as Manny's 'right hook, roll under' that he throws from the southpaw stance?
Roy Jones did the same move off a lead right hand (only better) [ame]http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nM6yMAvwjkE[/ame] 6.25 Kell Brook uses it too
ask Leon and Hook! this is one of my favorite moves to use :deal edit: also have you ever tried to go the other way. I don't even bother, because it's too much for me This content is protected
