You only have to look at the comments after Nick Ball's win. it's like they want their own fighters to lose the way they talk, moaners.

 

None of us want our own boxers to lose, we are fans and this is hardest sport of all.

More likely is that people can’t and don’t want to listen to biased commentators who should know better overhyping decent boxers and calling them elite when they clearly aren’t. It can be viewed as disrespectful to actual elite, great boxers to deserve those accolades.
