    well, I was going to post to GazOC anyway, just to say that 'sombrerogate' has been one of the longest british ESB mysteries going! Just who threw tht sombrero on a guy who could have been seriously injured for all anyone knew...

    Yeah there was some paggering outside after the fight but not sure if Hatton was there.
    the sombrero incident - do you not think the hat came off by accident when Hatton was climbing through the ropes? That's the way it looked to me Dunkster.

    hmm. So the hat came off by accident whilst rubbing against the ropes when hatton was climbing through & catapulted onto Alex?

    I find that particular theory hard to swallow Sucka.

    Dunky - I swear to you on my familys life that I have watched the fight again and see Hatton climb onto the ring apron with his sombrero on his back.
    I have also seen when the sombrero comes flying in. If it was Hatton then he must have thrown somebody elses. Because I PROMISE you that there was a replay of Arthur being counted out from the angle of behind the front row and you see Hatton climb up and go through the ropes and his sombrero is on his back.

    I found it on youtube and then that **** Warren had everything pulled. You can no longer find the fight.

    Okay the fight is back up. Probably not for long, and I haven't had time to check it, but this should include the footage I am talking about and end this thing about Hatton throwing his hat....

    Yep it is there. 6:17 into that clip and you CLEARLY see Hatton climb up with his hat still on his back.

    no no, not at all. I just thought Hatton had said it as a pre planned insult, & when I found out there was a bit of funny mischief making from Floyd that made Hatton come out with that line, I decided I was being a bit harsh about Hattons 'gay' jibe. It was more of an 'off the cuff' remark, than a carefully planned one like I was taking him to task for originally. However, I see some website has described that Hatton line as 'stand up comedy gold' thats what gets my back up as I said before, this Hatton can do no wrong, & Floyd can do no right attitude from the british fans & media.

    Well, I cant get the clip to work for some reason:huh maybe its been pulled already?

    OK. Say Hatton didnt throw it then just for talkings sake. Who did then in Gomez corner? cos from what I remember(I have never watched the fight again since it happened) it was DEFINITELY thrown onto Arthur deliberately. So if not Hatton, who was guilty of such a deplorable, despicable act?

    It still works for me too.

    I will put the direct link to youtube here instead of embedding it. There were loads of guys in sombreros so someone throwing one in is not a huge mystery.
    But when you watch the clip, you will have to drop this incident as being one of your reasons for hating Hatton.
