That Mayweather-Hatton press conference that just happened...

I see Sky have blocked Hattons part of the press conference due to bad language, although prior to the blocking he was ripping the **** out Mayweather whenever the p4p star started some sort of antics.

I thought the crowd at the outside part of the Hatton v PBF presser were a disgrace. Booing Floyd and singing etc is one thing but to throw stuff at him and spit on him was not on and it will reflect bad on british fight fans imo.

Floyd returned the favour by giving them the middle digit live on Skysports lol

Apparently, Mayweather didn't want to appear outside with Hatton but I saw some coverage of this with him in a man united shirt and making gestures to the crowd. Couldn't hear clearly what the crowd was chanting (it seemed to be drowned out by Sky) but i've got a good idea! Shame really as this behaviour doesn't reflect the majority of Hatton fans in my opinion.

De La Hoya seemed to endear himself to the crowd and I thought the band playing and singing Blue Moon was a nice touch for Hatton who is probably glad this week is out the way now!

 

It was only the usual 'who are ya?' and 'who the ****ing hell are you?'. Having said that I'm sure some sensitive souls on here will get their knickers in a twist about it...;O)

 

It isn't amazingly strong line but it still wouldn't surprise me if after his failure to perform in the US, he hired someone to write hi a few lines (like with his stand-up routine). Either way this was a pre-planned joke, on the spot without his writers he has nothing.

And was the "****ing" required? Does he really need to resort to foul language to be funny? It seems to be his favorite trick and his fans love lapping it up.


And look at kind of fans who Hatton has endeared himself too with his antics...alcoholics who behave like football thugs as demonstrated at the presser.

 

The bad language was a shame seeing as there were probably young kids in the audience but that hpresser just looked like a good laugh to me. I can't see where alcoholism or thuggery came into it there?

All this faux indignation when it suits people is pretty funny!!

 

Unlike those in attendance at calzaghe Manfredo who drunkenly booed the american national anthem. Or those in attendance at a show in Kings hall stoke who were making racist chants at a young asian kid from derby.,

Boxings a working class sport, which attracts working class supporters en mass. Unfortuanate as it is, you always get this type of behaviour, and you always will!!
