That meterosexual look doesn't fit paulie's real persona

I was impressed w/ paulie tonight. He was getting beaten up and he
went out on his shield when his irresponsible trainer wouldn't pull him
out like mcgirt did. He also showed a vulnerable side and a grit that hadn't
been shown before. Malignaggi's done after tonight, but he can hold his head high knowing he always gave his all. Not bad for a one handed fighter.

Malignaggi's style has always irked me, but I have to give him credit for always showing heart in his fights. I wonder if he would be better suited going down one weight class , where he might have more success.

If Paulie stays in the game it looks like he will become a gatekeeper type fighter , which does not suit his personality.

All respect for Malignaggi. He fought every minute of every round against a fighter with more speed, more youth, more technique and more power. All hate aside, Khan would've been a handful for any 140lber today, and Paulie fought him. He never had a chance in hell, but all throughout the fight, he kept it a war, pushing, taunting, talking trash. He kept the niceties for after the fight, he wouldn't admit defeat until someone called it for him. For that, I will always respect the Magic Man.

Paulie has always been a warrior. He withstood a broken jaw and took Cotto the distance. He was blessed with great speed and great heart and chin. But unfortuntely, he was cursed with no power. Even had he just had 50% KO power, he would have been an amazing fighter.

his trainer wasn't being irresponsible - it's just that Paulie got pulled out of the Hatton fight, you can't keep doing that otherwise your career is effectively over as a championship prizefighter.

At the time I thought it was a good move BUT you are right, Paulie should've been allowed to finish the Hatton fight, tonight's fight was a different story though, you know its bad when Smoger stops it.
