I thought Solis was winning the round due to landing the cleaner punches, but then the knockdown happened and it was a 10-8 round for big Vitali. Then Solis got up, but could not stand, the ref waved him off and it was Vitali TKO1 (Solis EVT1).
lets subtract the knockdown and every other thing that Vitali did and multiply everything Solis glass temple did by a factor of 10 and then vote.
Vitali knocked Solis' out period. Even before that Vitali was measuring Solis, it was just a matter of time. Vitali would have knocked him out in another round, it was a mismatch.
Nonsense, like almost any Klitschko-posting you write. Fight wasn´t a mismatch, as long as it lasted, you could clearly see that Solis had a clue how to beat Vitaly. Nevertheless, Vitaly won the round due to the knockdown. I still think that Solis wasn´t really hurt by that punch, but by the injury. We will never know though, only Solis knows. What a pity, could´ve been a very interesting fight.
Vitali was winning, Solis was doing better than expected. Cubans and Brits make up 90% of those who claim that Solis was winning. Cubans: man-love for Solis. Brits: hate for Vitali. Take them out of the equation and get reasonable posters; most think that Vitali was winning.
Solis was winning the round, Vitali landed nothing before the knockdown. Didnt mater tought, because Odlaniers glass temple failed him
Vitali edged it for me. Solis peppered in some nice counters throughout the round, but Vit controlled the pace with his jab and a couple shots of his own. Vitali took a close one, and I suspect the rest of the fight would go like that with Vitali becoming more dominant the longer the fight went on.
It's already been explained numerous times how he won the event, if you weren't an illiterate **** you would understand by now.
Solis was clearly winning the Round. VK hardly landed a punch and Solis was popping him from the oitside quite a few times.
I actually watched the fight again because while watching it live I also thought "Oh look Solis is landing a couple clean shots, not the hardest, but they're right on target". Watching again I had to revise my first impression. Many of Solis' hands were highly inaccurate, he had trouble finding target. That one nice flurry he threw from the ropes around 2:00 into the round landed on Vitali's shoulder (maybe he tried to hit Vitali's glass shoulder?). One right hook I thought that landed was blocked by Vitali's glove. Overall, Solis landed very few (less than 3?) clean shots on Vitali. None of them had any effect whatsoever. Before the 3:00 minute mark Vitali IMO landed two body shots on Solis, the rest missed the mark or hit Solis' guard. To sum it up: Solis may have looked active, but he was much less effective than he appeared simply due to his size disadvantage; he had problems reaching his target.
totally correct. I have a copy of the fight from RTL... I thought the same watching the fight live... I thought Solis landed... not really... first off they were slaps (most) many were short... many were blocked and what did land was shoulder and body...... Solis did get in a shot or 2 to vitali head... but not with power IMO everyone is "solis winning" crap is due to Vitali almost not getting touched at all in the last fights... all of a sudden a guy lands some punches and everyone jumps to "vitali would have been in trouble".. nonsense... Vitali was stalking and measuring the distance. it was just a matter of time:deal
