That should be a TKO for Vargas

Even if went down, he would have been saved by the bell in the last round.

I'ts immensely overrated. Once again he was seconds away from getting finished. And by a mediocre, average powered opponent.

He got caught once. ONCE, in 12 rounds, and he was basically finished. The referee had to literally stop the fight to let him survive. The usual crazy corruption, boxe is a joke.

Bradley's chin is average. He fought scared and conservative against Marquez.

Provodnikov's best punches couldn't wobble Algieri, but had Bradley all over the place with crossed eyes and doing backflips even.

Doing something in exchange of cash is never, "an error".

Pat Russell is the ref who chose not to call KDs scored against Bradley in the Provodnikov fight, which ended up being crucial as even if he'd only counted the first one (the second was technically a KD although it was more questionable than the first) Provodnikov would've come away with a draw. There were numerous instances in that fight where Russell could've stopped it too, such was the state Bradley in. He was stumbling around the ring like a drunken zombie and he was totally out on his feet.

However, I don't think Russell waving it off early last night made much difference to the outcome of the fight. Bradley was badly hurt but he still had his wits about him. Had Vargas caught him clean with another shot like the one that he hurt him with a few seconds before though he could've flattened him so I can see it from his perspective too. I just think the chances of him doing so were extremely slim given Bradley's toughness and how little time there was remaining in the round.

I think Bradley would have held on or covered up the last couple of seconds. It's possible with another good punch Bradley would have gone down, but that wouldn't have changed the outcome of the fight and he would have been saved by the bell since there wasn't even enough time to count him out. Worst case scenario, it's Chavez vs Meldrick Taylor all over again where the ref calls the fight off with two seconds and there's no chance Taylor would even get hit again before the bell.

I only caught the end of this fight, so I don't know if those scores were legitimate or not. I'll have to watch a replay and score it myself to be sure.

One thing that is for sure is that the ref looked like a fool. He's probably got hearing issues since he's an old man, and the crowd was really loud; so he didn't know what was going on.

Yeah Vargas likely had that won. He had him out on his feet and just as he got his hands free with 10 seconds left, the dumb ref pulls him away calling it off. Bradley was getting KTFO.

The refs excuse was so lame.. he shrugs his shoulders and says I heard the bell like that makes it all better. So if this ref next fight stabs one of the fighters and says " i thought he was a mugger and was going to rob me" then it's ok? The bell didn't ring so it was an illegal stoppage.

Vargas was robbed of critical seconds. Should be a no contest and mandatory rematch with an apology to Vargas.

As for bradley, he's definitely aggressive and energetic, but he's feather fisted, defense poor, and that chin got tapped. He fights someone who can really bang and no bs stoppage will save him. You can bet they will be head hunting Tim "the chin" Bradley.

Floyd must be salivating at the thought of picking this cherry.

Seriously. People saying Bradley was "out on his feet" and that Vargas had that won. LMAO really?! Really?! Sounds like some pro-Vargas fans who are bitter that Vargas was shown that he is not ready for world level. There should NOT be a rematch. Vargas may have been game but he looked like someone who realized this was too much of a step up and as a result fought like a desperate fighter.

Bradley dominated this fight and if you look at the replay, Vargas could not capitalize after he hurt Bradley. Bradley was man enough to admit it but also gave a very good explanation that he would have survived because he managed to take away what ever momentum Vargas had at that moment.

Again there should NOT be a rematch. Bradley would win again and it would be a waste of everyone's time. And please to God don't start comparing this to Julio Cesar Chavez vs Meldrick Taylor.

He was badly hurt for sure...but i,m pretty sure he would have lasted 6 more seconds....it would have been a different story if the fight was over 15 rounds.
    remember SRL-Hearns? .

Nah....he hurt Tim with 5 ticks on the clock and was already wrapped up by Bradley when the ref waived off the fight premature. It was a terrible mistake but don't kid yourself into believing Vargas was on his way to a KO victory......he didn't even put Tim down and Tim was even in that state too experienced to go down.

If it was a guy like GGG or Kovalev that was deprived of those 10sec. to try to finish a fight, then I would be upset.

But were talking about Jessie "the tickler" Vargas. There was no way in hell he couldve finished Bradley. I mean, the tickler landed a PERFECT right hand on the button and Bradley was still up. Anything can happen in boxing my A$$. The follow-up punches that he was supposedly deprived of, wouldnt do Shi t....
