the house was full and the crowd was very much into it. In big support of Peterson but you could tell they knew boxing and respected Khan's skills too. I turned in like the 6th round and was like "this is a good ass fight" and everyone around me was like "hell yeah". A nice animated crowd. Hope they start bringing more big fights back to D.C. again

But for Hatton, they had trumpets, bass drums, half a melody(depending on the round and the amount of beverages being served). This was just this nauseating bleating over and over and over and over....If they did that **** at the garden, there would be a riot. You think Golota's low blows can provoke a crowd, try blaring those horns at a Brooklyn and Brownsville crowd

they have always been big for Soccer so I guessed they just brought it to a fight one day and it caught on. very annoying though. They were even doing it at the weigh-in when I was there

The horns or vuvuzelas. It's pak.stani thing from cricket.

They were first used with much negativity in the soccer world cup in south Africa.

Looked great. Khan was wrong about boxing in dc post fight, they should host more fights there

This is what happens when you put a competitive fight in the home town of one of the fighters.

If they do host more fights there, they need to get a decent referee with some big fight experience. The **** they had yesterday was not acceptable. When the referee changes the outcome of the fight you have to ask questions.

To be honest as a Brit I enjoyed seeing a hyped up American crowd showing some excitement, it doesn't seem happen that often in America from what I've seen.

Great atmosphere, the ref kind spoiled it though. But the crowd were amazing, really made me pumped and added to what was a fantastic fight.

that was actually shocking to me. You had an HBO Broadcast with all the normal announcers, you had Buffer, you had a big title fight, and then a local ref? I was expecting to see Bayless or atleast someone weve seen on the big stage before. It just seemed weird and didnt fit with all the other top notch stuff that was going on. The ref was different right off the bat. I dont remember what he said but he yelled out something after the staredown before the fight and I started laughing. It caught me totally off guard as I dont remember seeing a ref do that before

Washington DC and Baltimore have always been big fight towns. In Baltimore you can see a good boxing match at least once per week.
Of course, the white boys are working over time to fuk that up, as they usually do.
